CNN has a live feed of Sean's remains right now that have been returned to the USA & the US President is about to speak there

I listen to talk radio and slowly but surely they're mentioning Sean more and more by his name and that he had regular conversations with an 'online gaming community'. Even going so far as to quote his sentence about the 'police' officer. Keep it up. Giving a story and a face to a victim can bring about a lot of positive attention. As opposed to Michael Savage who 'knows his type as some one in the peace corp.'

Again rip Sean. This unfortunate event could be the catalyst for radical change.

Vile Rat was a name I only ever knew from from forum posts, but it's always tragic to see people dead due to senseless violence, and to see innocents killed while doing their job is just downright depressing.

My heart goes out to his family, freinds and corpmates .

Holy **** Secretary of State Hillary Clinton just referenced "VR" contribution to Eve in statements remembering the lives lost in the consulate attack. The man shaped two worlds, real and virtual. RIP

Just caught Hillary Clinton speaking on TV and she mentioned all of the "virtual" friends, competitors, and fellow gamers that he left behind. Must be the first eulogy ever with a shout out to virtual and RL friends.

Amazing the impact VR is still having. Wish I had the chance to meet him rather then learning about what an amazing person he was after the fact.

Just watched the repatriation ceremony on the BBC over here in the UK. So very sad.

At least in Eve I feel like I understand the world.

RIP and my condolences to all those who knew him.

Im only a 3 year old Eve player, but I've come to have the utmost respect to the Eve players who have been around since the early years of Eve. Whether they are Goons or whatever, they are playing the game we all love, and contributed to it's growth.

Just goes to show how no matter what one does in RL, this game has you hooked.

Sorry to all who knew him...... :(

I'm in awe of the EVE community's overwhelming response to the untimely passing of one of its' own. You all - friends, corp mates, CCP employees, or simply fellow internet space travelers like me - show him great honor.

My condolences to Sean "VR" Smith's friends and family.
