Future for EOS for Ongrid Boosting

Ongrid Boosting will be the future, ships will fly with the fleets they support on field.

The vulture will fly in shield fleets.

The Claymore with nano gangs.

The damnation with Armor Fleets.

The Eos flies with Recon and Ewar gangs?

It is an agreed consensus in eve that the EOS is one of the worst ships in the game. The design of the ship and its bonuses makes it poorly matched with the ships that it flies with. The ship itself is awful

Let us look at its awful and ******** bonuses:

5% hybrid damage, 7.5% armor repairer bonus, 15m3 drone bay space, and 3% info warfare links per level.

The damage bonuses on command ships are pointless. Assuming you are fitting out all 3 links, leaves you with 4 fail turrets, it is completely useless.

Putting active tanking bonus for THE Worst type of active tanking for a Fleet Command ship is a fantastic failure.

Extra drone bay space is a wasted bonus on a fleet command ship, you have no damage bonus for drones and a CS is a boosting ship that supports the fleet.

The eos is trying to be a combat armored ship, but its supposed to fly with typically stealthy and mobile recon ships.

The EOS needs a complete rework down to the very atomic level.

Infact it's probably easier to delete the ship from the game and make a new ship that makes sense. That's how screwed up of a ship it is.

What do we do about the eos?

CCP have mentioned the Eos and Gallente boosts specifically as needing lots of love. They are aware of the issue and presumably have something in the works.

Chill.

Its going to require a MAJOR rework. Information warfare is the very least used leadership.

Look at the prices of mindlinks and you'll see how unused it is.

A discussion on what should be done to fix this is what I want to do.

Sorry Ashera, CCP introduced active armor tanking and information warfare and its links into the game. CCP would rather sacrfice our gallente race, then to sacrifice those aspects to the game. It will only end horribly.

Keep it as it is. I think it is a great and awesome ship. Just because you fail doesn't mean it's something wrong with the ship. It simply means you are stupid.

Or you know....keep using the tech 3s just fullly tanked with links since you can't go off grid so you don't need the slots for sig reduction and eccm.

Balance the fleet CS around the Damnation. Give them all resist bonuses (like HICs) and sort out their EHP.

Then sort out warfare links. Take scrambler/disruptor range from the Skirmish Interdiction link, it's too powerful, and give it to Gallente, maybe even make it two links, one for disruptors and one for scramblers. Then upgrade the sensor strength link to include scan res and lock range. Then, I dunno, merge the ewar optimal and strength links into a single one.

Remember that it affects all Propulsion Jamming mods, which is not just scrams and disruptors, but webs as well.

Eos is a myth, I don't know anyone who's ever seen one in space.

Yes, I think it's too powerful affecting all three, hence my suggestion of taking disruptor and scrambler range away from it and leaving it only with web range. I also think the magnitudes of the bonuses are too great, considering the relatively much greater cost of fitting out your gang with e.g. RF points and FN webs.

Imagine a set of ganglinks for drones.... that could be pretty dangerous :o
