I'm new to Eve. I can't stand pve..it bores me to tears so im broke all the time. I just joined RvB. It took me 3 days to run through my small stack of isk...but not to worry. Today in under an hour I made 3.5m in insuance. But that's enough bragging...now to reship and get back in the fray.

once you get the hang of pvp, try some small gang or solo stuff against people you dont know in low sec or null, it gets A LOT more interesting :)

I just turned into an egg, did I level up? I spent an hour trying to salvage a wreck, when in local a guy said "Stop it, this is my Tempest, I was AFK"

Once again the comradery in this game blows me away...I asked if there was a pve fleet that I could jump in on...some vet laughed at the idea of an RvB pve fleet and just slipped me 10m isk...I love this game

CCP built into the game an option for you: PLEX. You spend real money, get one, sell in game for 550 million isk. But what about the money? Well, simple things you can do in real life can easily save you sufficient money for a PLEX. Like driving slower on the freeway. Sure you get there slower, but if you figure out the ISK per hour (drive slower, save money, buy PLEX, sell for ISK, figure ISK gained per extra hour spent driving) it beats almost all in-game activities. Or spend more time comparison shopping, looking for that great deal.

TL;DR: Spend less time in game trying to make ISK, spend that time out of game saving money to use to buy PLEX.

Might be worth considering joining a 0.0 corp that's willing to train up a newbie as well as having a good ship replacement program.

As long as you fly in their fleets they'll teach you the ropes and refund any ships you might lose, especially if they're cheap.

If you just want to pewpew without much care for the game's other aspects then that's likely your best bet. Faction Warfare might also be worth looking into.

Not to say RvB isn't great fun, it is. But it won't refund your lost ships or make you any profit like 0.0 corps or FW can. Worth checking out I'd say.

This is why I like big fleet fights. Being a relatively new and low sp character, I can still contribute to battles and the numbers disguise my awfulness. Smile
