Waiting for success to happen to you is just as valid a strategy in EVE as it is in real life.

I wasn't hoping for that strategy to work as well as it does in real life. I suppose I will be waiting for an evemail from Seleene then, saying he is moving on and asking if I wouldn't mind coming in.

Honestly, they may run off of real solar panels that you plug into a USB port for all we know at this point. Smile

That being said, if CCP doesn't fix / finish null-sec starting early next year, a lot of older players will probably walk away for good.

This is actually quite interesting. As in a good way for us noobs to move forward, once you all die hards leave the game

That was actually a bit of sarcasm. Everyone knows that no one ever really walks away from EVE. P

I have stumbled across the following:
mordfiddle wrote:

...
As of this writing, CCP Greyscale's dreams of small alliances holding their own patch of sovereign space in nullsec are distant at best. In fact almost every change impacting nullsec since that workshop was held has pushed such possibilities further out toward the horizon.

Source

With the following comment:
Jester wrote:

Greyscale's dreams aren't distant. They're dead, dead, dead. And any attempt to implement them will be met with strong resistance by the players. Yes.
Super-large fights and the players that love them have all but driven anyone who feels differently *out of EVE*. Those voices are silent. The number of effective small-gang alliances that might go for small null-sec patches were they available, you can now count on two hands.
...
Source

So my questions to you (and/or any other CSM member who wants to answer) are:
1) Do you think they are correct?
2) Is this the way CCP wants 0.0 to work, or are Grayscale's Dreams still valid?

hey selene... was gonna throw this up in one of the town hall meetings bt its less of a question and more of something to think about and maybe pass on to dust514/ccp devs perhaps.

As dust514 and eve will be coexisting, and orbital bombardments will occur both ways eventually, does ccp/dust514 devs acknowledge or have any plans to solve the issue of having time dilation in dust514 to mirror time dilation in eve, and vice versa?

i know and understand this kinda stuff is most likely heavily NDA'd... but its something that i really hope ccp and dust514 devs are aware of, and if you could acknowledge they do or pass it on to them as something to think about thatd be awesome!

cheers!

1.) Do I think WHO is correct?

2.) This is the dev blog that most people reference on this issue:

Nullsec development: rules and guidelines

AFAIK, yes, this is still the general direction that CCP wants to go but it will probably be another expansion cycle or two before we start to see genuine progress in that direction.

It's actually never come up but I do know that there is a **** ton of work taking place with regard to linking the two systems and making them as seamless as possible. I'll toss this specific question on our "Things to ask" titanpad document tho.

I think it's safe to say that it's had some water thrown on it, but we may still see something happen. That's about where it is atm - limbo.

Thank you Selene for pushing for answers on Incarna. Many of us who have been waiting 5 years for CCP to deliver on its promise of Avatar gameplay are feeling largely abandoned by CCP. I'm really tired of arguing with trolls on the potential of Avatar gameplay in EVE.

the questions I would appreciate you passing on to CCP (or answering yourself if able) are:
What happened to the Team Avatar blog regarding their prototyping?
Will we be able to ent the interiors of our POSs as part of the revamp?
Can we get expect anything (not clothing related) for Incara?

thanks

Was a resolution ever reached as to a vehcle for player suggestions? Is it still worthwhile posting in The Assembly Hall or what?

I'm actually waiting on an answer to that right now. Some scheduling issues have prevented me linking up with the right person(s) but I'm trying to get more than just a one or two sentence email reply. I'd like for CCP to publicly state what is going on here or authorize the CSM to do so.

Still way too early to know that sort of thing.

TBH, not really. The Assembly Hall really needs to be closed and I doubt it will survive the year unless CCP just likes having an extra sub-forum. I don't know of any CSMs, this term or previous ones, that think highly of it. I look at Features & Ideas, etc... more than that place. In terms of a 'vehicle', one thing we've recently poked CCP about is making it easier / more intuitive for players to know how to contact the CSM to point us at ideas or suggestions. We already get quite a few folks that eve mail us, including a few people that seem to enjoy rounding up interesting topics to link us to on a regular basis.

Thanks Selene

One other question that I've seen pop up on the Dust beta forums from is that given the need for us to be able to meet and command Dust mers, will CCP be implementing station interiors as a means to enable this?
