It has dual XL-ASBs, 425mms, a MWD, a scrambler, deals 771 DPS.

Oh, and it can tank 2243 Omni-DPS before any fleet/implant bonuses.

while i do like this fit. you can save yourself quite a bit of isk (about 130m) with a few changes and 2 implants. Consider the Genolution set. combined they give just over 3% boost to grid, cpu, cap and cap recharge. downgrade your guns to 220's you lose 2km on falloff and about 33dps but you will track better. You will be able to tank more as you have a rig slot available for a kin/exp t2 rig (+230 ish dps tank) you can also go for a cheaper scram, DG over Cn.

While an interesting proposal, I generally tend to fly lots of different ships, so I don't like using implants specifically for ONE fit.

Also, I've been considering the rumors and speculation about the possible ASB nerf. If the Alliance Tournament was any sort of clue, we might see ASB's being given the Damage control treatment: one per ship.

If not, they might have their fitting requirements increased, or God knows what.

So, I'm getting a single X-ASB, dual T2 Invul fit with 425mm's, nothing faction (save perhaps the Disruptor) and a T2 Core field extender rig. 1500 DPS tank, lowest resistance in the 70's, 50K EHP

the implants are not just for this fit, they are useful for a lot of things. Also as they fill slots 1 and 4 they leave your 6-10 slots free for whatever other implants take your fancy. Ever been annoyed because you are just .5 short on grid of cpu? here is the solution.

If they limit asb's to 1 per ship i think people will stop using them, atleast, quite a few will. The fitting requirement is reasonably high on them, especially on cpu. The reload time is quite high and in a lot of cases would be the death of your ship on a single asb fit.
