Hello everyone!

I know that most of you probably never saw this, but I've been keeping a quick reference sheet updated for quite a while.
( previous post: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=47271 )

Its been a while since my last update on the sheet, but now that missiles names are consolidated (thank you CCP), it was time to update the sheet too.

I hope you guys like it! =)

P.S.: for those that would like to follow the development and updates of this, I would recommend following the E-Uni forums, because with the 90 days lockout period in the official forums, every now and then I have to make a new thread:
http://forum.eveuniversity.org/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=40766
(official forums don't do well with that link, so either copy/paste or use this http://tinyurl.com/8zudbtc)

Edit: final version of v1.3.0 is out. Thank you all for helping.
Edit: v1.3.1, Correct some wormhole effects (thanks MD X)
Edit: v1.3.2, More fixes on wormhole effects (thanks Rain Kaessinde)
Edit: v1.3.2 (Chinese), As per 兔仔豬 comments, removed tables Anomaly Class Levels, Consmic Anomalies and Rat Nomenclature as they would be of no use in Serenity; Removed column "Short" from table EWAR Types
Edit: v1.3.3, Corrected "Empire" in Security table; Changed Missile Types table to reflect changes from Retribution; Colored with red/green on numbers for Missiles Table so it's easier to look for which missile is "better" on what (Retribution 1.0.9)
Edit: v1.3.4, Reordered tables Missile Damage Types and Projectile Ammo to have the same damage type order (based on EvE Fitting Window order); Changed Security table explanation of what happens at a given security status
Edit: v1.3.5, Correction on Anomaly Class Levels table
Edit: v1.3.6, Odyssey review: Missile Types changes (Heavy, Cruise, AT Cruise); Hybrid Charges changes (Void capacitor usage, supposed to be in game a long time ago, but I never saw it in game until now); Drones changes (Infiltrator Tracking); Ore Refine changes (Spodumain, Gneiss, Ochre, Crokite, Bistot, Arkonor, with variations being calculated by 5% and 10% more as I don't have other ways to check numbers on other sources now); Ice Ore Refine changes (Krystallos), also some reordering
Edit: v1.3.7, Odyssey change for Exploration Site Types table (thanks Estoppel and Squeaks)

God damn it, everytime I am convinced this forum is nothing but trolling and asshattery, some ******* like you has to post something useful and constructive.

That said, it looks very well done, and will be added to my IGB links Cool

Thank You

Missing the stacking penalty progression (1, .87, 0.56 and .28) and AU to km chart conversion, plus max onboard scanner range figure (which should've been rendered unecessary if they'd fixed the UI for it).
Some probing stuffs migt be great too.

Oh AWESOME IDEA!!!!!

Let me work on those. =)

Where can I find more information about the max onboard scanner range?

There was another reference sheet I saw that had rat-chaining guide: Possible spawns, and what to kill/leave. Not sure if this is constant throughout null or region-specific. Another possibility would be incursion site info. Well done.

"The capabilities of the onboard scanner have been substantially increased. The range is now 64 AU and the delay to return results is only 10 seconds."

Just need to state the (64AU) figure for posterity.

Edit: D-scan range however is 14AU, afaik that's still valid unless anyone else disputes it.

Sturmwolke,

The stacking penalties table is done, quite nice to remind people about it even though after a while you just know that past 3 the bonus is very small, but kind of works same as the shortcuts, so, thanks for that idea.

I found most of the information about DScan and Onboard Scan. Put a small table together, but now I question myself if that is worth the spot. I mean, it is not something I would use so often. A friend of mine was mentioning that they usually just fill with 9s and then take one out for max/10 or something like that. He uses DScan all the time and didn't see that as something he would question how to do so often. So... I'm not sure to put that in or not right now.

Now, generally speaking, there is still room... Anyone else with some great crazy idea? =)

This is just fantastic. I don't know enough to know what you could/should add to the little bit of blank space left, but . . .

A little while ago, I tried to make a ship chart that I could refer to when running EWAR so that I could see what ships belong to what class of ships (and what those classes do). I also bring it with on long car rides (my job takes me all over the state) so I can memorize the names of HACs, BSs, etc.

But mine sucks, partially because I LOVE HOW YOU FORMATTED EVERYTHING. If you made a ship chart, detailing every ship/class/race/etc. I'd literally give you all the isk. And I know what the word "literally" means.

Barring that, did you spend a lot of time making boxes, shading them, adding icons, etc. or did you crib that style from somewhere accessible?

I am not an alt of Chribba.

Hey Bizzaro, =)

Yep m8, this took me a LOT of time to put together. It is an ongoing project for the past year and a half or so.

If you check the E-Uni post, or just follow back on the previous, you'll see it is something I've been working on for a very long while.

I did all the shades and format, picked all images from CCP's site, looked for the transparency, head butted a lot until I finally came up with the proper tones for brighter / darker line, and so on.

The style is my own.

Early in this, I even had a "dark" version, with races backgrounds and other fancies. I don't maintain that version anymore, but here is an image just for your curiosity:
http://postimage.org/image/4d2thy2pz/

Haha, the agent division table was still there... =)

Anyway, if I learned something from the E-Uni is that if you like it, send me ONE ISK, nothing else.

Meanwhile, if you have a good idea of what to put in there, please let me know. The ship idea is good, but I don't have a lot of space. Would need to concat with the other EWAR / Ships tables most likely. I'll look into it. =)

Thanks!

Dscan works in "km" as basic unit. The Overview displays both in "AU" and "km" as a basic units for celestials (depending on your position to it). The problem with Dscan is when you need to estimate a target's distance within that 14AU, you need a quick distance gradient to run the trial & error scan. That's where the AU = km conversion table comes in. Example, when I see combat probes on Dscan, I want to know how close that probe is to my ship. If it's within 2AU, I'd better gtfo asap - conversely, it it's around 12-13AU distance away, I can afford to sit and watch what happens.

For character bios, the AU = km conversion table is fairly commonsight. That's an indicator that shows players are referring to it.

Right, I've personally had not yet come across that "table". Perhaps I'm looking at this from the wrong perspective. Would you have someone's bio to point me at so I could give it a look?

Seeing how people use that will definitely help.

I don't always know what you crazy people are talking about, but when I do, I hit LIKE!

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/glossary/au.html

1 AU = 149,597,870.691 kilometers ..... which you can just truncate down to simply :

1 AU = 149,000,00 km

A short table is something like :

1 AU = 149,000,000 km
3 AU = 448,000,000 km
6 AU = 897,000,000 km
9 AU = 1,346,000,000 km
12 AU = 1,795,000,000 km

In practice, most players will just ballpark 150mil km = 1 AU. So the table can be as short as just the first line or as granular (and detailed) as you want it up to 14AU.
Check this thread here for another example - http://community.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1499463.

P.S Sorry, don't have a random player in mind atm. It's one of those things that you notice over a period of time.

Thanks Sturmwolke!

I'll make a table that has those units and 14AU too.

Even with that, there is still room for something else.

I was looking into the ships as suggested by Bizzaro, but that opened pandora's box. There are way too many ships and I'll end up with a way too big table.

I reworked some of the stuff around, squeezed projectiles and crystals to fit in the same line and the new DRAFT is updated.

There is still room for one or two small tables and one medium.

Hopefully I'll have something to put in there and be done with the sheet tomorrow. =)

Still looking forward to hear ideas from everybody.

Since drones don't drop loot any more would the Alloy & Compound Refine table be used much? I guess they can be found in other places?

Good job first of all. I suggest a few things:
Mission corp standing required for each agent level.
Or
5 biggest market areaa per region aka jita rens etc
Or
Attributes you need to have higer for your current skill training queue: for example intelligence and memory for mining.

Wow, I guess the take-away from your post is that I 1) don't have the skill, or 2) the time, to duplicate your fantastic looking cheat sheet for other purposes :)

You have some skill/dedication to graphical design, maybe just add more pretty and be satisfied that you have all the "at your fingertips" knowledge crammed onto that sheet that you need?

Gonna send that ISK your way from my E-UNI main, btw, you earned it :)
