No, it's interrupting someone else's PvE and "hard work" and you should be ashamed of yourself for wanting to force your playstyle on them.

As my last thing to do before i quit for good ive been spending my isk on ridiculous battleships and going around suicide pvping them.

in every instance so far as my last test of "JUst for ***** and giggles" there has been at least 1 logi and / or Falcon in a fleet much outnumbering myself

now obviously i got around 90m sp and my fit is worth about 2 billion, so a fair fight would be at least 3 or 4 average battleships vrs me or 7 or 8 bc's vrs me, so i wasnt expecting any 1 v 1's....

but everything in this game is now just numbers game

but whatever im not the last to go for this reason.

Wow, those fits belong in the dark ages. Have you heard of ASBs?

Not everyone needs ASB's on everything.

Yes, yes they do. MOAR ASB CAPTAIN!

I also agree that if the guy hates falcons so much, he should fit an ECCM.

There are a lot of games out there that sell a fantasy. They provide an experience that is beatable, where results can be achieved by anybody who really tries. They sell the fantasy that you are really good at this and you could save the world/universe.

EVE Online takes that fantasy and beats you half to death with it, then it tells you to HTFU and get over yourself.

It's a multiplayer game where you are facing other people who are trying to beat you just as much as you are trying to beat them. Those other players will use what advantages they can get. You have 90m skillpoints, they have active friends who work together.

If you want EVE to change to suit your playstyle and cater to your fantasy of being awesome, then GTFO and don't ruin a damn good game.

Im not ruining the game its been ruined already

ASB's are gay **** that ****

as for HTFU.. well.. i mean i flew around with a pretty penny worth of stuff suicidal, and dont feel an ounce of adrenaline rush like i use too... ive hardened but im tired of ccp changing the game for the worse.

eccm would be great btw but... eccm doesnt help against blobs, logistics etc and even with an eccm the falcon would still have me pretty much perma jammed probably use 3 ecms at once, if they all failed he has 3 more, one of them will hit.

You do realise that since "back in the day" EVE has grown significantly in player numbers right? There are three times as many active subscribers now as there were in 2006.

There are more people playing now, and people have been playing longer and worked out what works and what doesn't. Hypothetically the actual game (the rules, the multimedia, the server code etc) could have stayed exactly the same and would be entirely different based on those two factors alone. I can say that because EVE Online is player driven, and it is the players who create the interesting content. At least CCP seem to recognise this.

Complaining about EVE Online becoming a "numbers game" is like complaining that it is growing and reaching a larger audience.

if you are looking for solo pvp join faction warfare and go do some low level plexes in a tech I frig... thats what i do... mostly i die due to lame tracking disrupters... grrr...

EVE has many strengths. Solo PvP is not one of them. Even when solo PvP supposedly existed, it wasn't that great.

There are other MMOs out there that have much better solo PvP. In EVE, it's a team effort or nothing.

Actually, this is for the OP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYF0BYX_OuU

But, then again, he might be watching too much XDMR's Rokh videos and though that he could always win without any strategy or plan.

Btw. EFT PvP is not real PvP.

You can quibble over possible details, but it is a quantifiable, verifiable fact that there are three times as many active subscriptions now (~350k) than there was in 2006 (~100k).

EVE Online has grown. EVE Online has been around longer now than it had been around then (clearly). These factors have a significant effect on a player driven game's dynamics. Whether it's 40% new people or 200% new people is entirely beside the point.

Yeah I agree. There should be some kind of scaling mechanism. If your opponent or enemy is stronger/better that you, you should get scaled up so that they have no chance against you. Ofcourse then the same would happen to him and it goes on forever but nevermind that.

the best fights i ever had were solo pvp... back in the day in a ratting bs deep in null sec before there were all those outposts...

being in a semi pvp/pve ship 16 jumps from an outpost was kick ass... everything you had was in your ship... solo pvp was awesome...

and if you do fw... then its back... all you have to do is join fw with an alt and start doing low level plexes and presto you get a fight... and more often then not its solo pvp...
