games gone to crap - solo pvp is deead

Yep !! Same here I was trying solo in my talos an some others ship but I've died from falcons. It's the worst thing in this game I mean ******* ecms .. So I lost few taloses all because falcons .. Eve is the only game that player is unable do anything for whole fight. After that I said "this game is not for me anymore" and quit..

If only solo PvP actually meant that, maybe people wouldn't feel so inclined to blob (they probably still would)

If I see a solo active shield tanking BS in lowsec I think "wonder where his two link characters are". Perhaps that's what the other guys thought too.

iv'e seen more spectacular things and done more spectacular things, but its not a normal occurance, and im willing to bet that the camp was probably by newish players, taking sentries, no logi or falcon obviously, and probably in larger ships not able to track the cruiser.



Well, it was pretty much a battlecruiser sized camp with some faction frigates, sitting at a bubble in 0.0. Nothing wrong with kiting when your outgunned and outnumberd. Just checked, and he is now learning new dudes tricks in R'v'B.

If you are deagressed for 10 minutes why didn't you just jump through to the other side where there was no falcon?

Or is this just you crying because you are bad at solo and didn't leave yourself an out in a brick?

Also you do realise that the only things that really stop eve being a pure numbers game are logis and ewar. I think what you are really annoyed about is that it is impossible to use these things when flying solo.

Right so the other guys should just leave the falcon and the RR behind and lose some ships cos this guy flashed his isk?

Well unless the guys he was fighting were Morons they would have someone ready to jump through and tackle him on the other side of the gate,thus giving him a fight at least for a while with no falcon. If he really could tank them for 10 minutes he would have had plenty time to do this repeatedly. Landing on a gate with a hostile gang, trying to get their falcon agressed and then jumping through to fight without falcon is something people have been doing in eve for years.

You cannot fight aganist a gang with ECM solo, if you are jammed for "ten minutes". You can however deagress and jump the gate.

So it boils down to "WAAAAH they wouldn't fight on MY terms", not "WAAAh the game is broken".

in every instance so far as my last test of "JUst for ***** and giggles" there has been at least 1 logi and / or Falcon in a fleet much outnumbering myself

now obviously i got around 90m sp and my fit is worth about 2 billion, so a fair fight would be at least 3 or 4 average battleships vrs me or 7 or 8 bc's vrs me, so i wasnt expecting any 1 v 1's....

It's called evolution, you either adapt or die (or in the case of EVE, you quit). Looks like you picked the latter.

there's your problem there...you expect somebody with less than your 90m SP and 2 bil fit to fight you 1 v1; why would they, since they are almost certainly going to lose?

So what you actually want isn't 1v1 fights, you want low SP cannon fodder to blow up for your fun?

There are pilots that excel at solo pvp still today. It's really just you. http://www.decloaked.com/ Scroll down there slightly and you'll see some highlighted. Click on them and peruse their kills to see for yourself. Then say to yourself, "I too can do just as well if I try" and go do it instead of quitting.
