My skill sheet most probably looks like crap. Thats what you get for trying a game with no contact inside for teaching some basics.

I have to agree, when I started the tutorial was rubbish, and I knew no one. I played alone for a while wasting a lot of skill points it seems.

I took a break in between for a while, started again with friends and found some direction before taking around 3 years of a break.

Now I know a lot more, I just wish I knew more about it all when I started. Some direction early on helps a lot.

Folks have told me that I'm wasting my time training Gallente combat ships, that I should be training cookie cutter Minmatar fits like everyone else. To this I say hate on, cause when I'm rolling in my Brutix blasterslapping the rust off ya we'll see who laughs hardest.

I think a better question is, who has the lowest amount of SP?

Probably any number of random highsec pubbies who start off with mining, realize it sucks, turn to missions, start off in a drake, then go CNR, then tengu, then omg I wanna nightmare, then machariel, then vindicator, etc.

I see nothing wrong with playing the game the way you want to. That's how it usually goes anyway, you start doing something, you get bored, you do something else, it's good that EVE has a lot of different activities you can train for.

Everyone starts with the same amount of SP (around 55k if I remember correctly) and therefore your question wouldn't be "better"...

I WIN THIS!

I started Eve in 2007. I was a very very casual player. I would log on, maybe twice a week. This was back before we had a thing called a "Skill Que". If you were not online when you skill finished, you lost training time until you could log on and set a new skill. If your skill was only 8 hours to train to level 2, you needed to be online 8 hours later to set it to level 3...

Ofc, being a very casual player, this was my downfall. I had no focus in my training, outside some industrial skills. I missed more training time that I used. I un-subbed and then re-subbed a few different times.

Finally, in 2010, with only 5 mill skillpoints to show for it, I decided to turn to PvP and become more serious about my internet spaceships. I have missed little training time since then. (with the help of the newly implemented que)

From 2007-2010 I trained 5 mill SP.
From 2010-now, I have trained almost an additional 30 mill SP.

FC, what do?

Does not matter; we will all end up with all skills to level 5 in ~19 years

Actually it takes closer to 30 years to get all skills to 5. Might be able to shave off a few years with remaps and whatnot.

My reference was max skill training rate possible (remaps) and the 450 mil sp clone.

And they will add more skills over time so people can not even come close to learning everything in the game.
