My condolences to your friends and family. I've always enjoyed flying alongside and against goons over the years so I feel honored I might have been on the same grid as VR.

RIP Vile Rat. Wonder if CCP can get the community together so we can send something to show our support to his family. While we do enjoy killing the crap out of each other in game this is truly a sad day. 8(

I only ever spoke to Vile Rat maybe two or three times and only ever quick questions. As far as I remember he was the reason 0din ended up sleeping on a Goon couch in TN-T back before the war in Fountain with the rest of AIF.

Some people have more impact on other lives and some people have less. Vile Rat appears to have had an impact on so very many in Eve alone never mind the wide world.

The world is a lesser place for this mans passing and my thoughts are with his family and friends in their time of loss.

An absolute tragic waste of life for an offence caused that had nothing to do with him.

I never knew him. I never knew of him, before today. But just reading about him and his impact on New Eden makes me feel like the galaxy is an emptier place.

I try to have hope for the world but sometimes it isn't easy. RIP Vile Rat. My thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost loved ones in this tragedy.

As a former combat veteran I know the hardships and seperation and being away from family.. Your loss is both a blow to this community and to your family and friends.. I feel proud and humbled to know that the man who in game was my sworn enemy was still fighting and serving for freedom and democracy for our country and that sadly, in the end he paid the ultimate sacrafice.. That this community can transcend the boundries we set up in game against each other and to come together in grieving... Wherever you are Sean, I hope the mortal hold of pain and suffering of this world does not have a grip on you, and that the eve community and your friends and family will never forget your contributions both in and out of this game. Wherever you are I hope you are at peace...

I met Vile Rat a couple of times in game...never on the same side of the gun but he was a good man none the less. He was an influential figure in EVE. Very much so. Seemed like a really good guy and I am sure he was. He will be missed by many in EVE.
