Posting in a 'stealth' brag thread

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

Oh god. It's here. That time where I wonder "now what" in Eve and find myself not logging in for longer and longer periods of time. The game got monoculous and I can't figure out what to do.Account subscriptions are starting to lapse and I just can't bring myself to care enough to plex them again.

I've been a total carebear, a griefer, a mercenary, a can flipper, a pirate, an explorer. I've lived in wormholes as a nomad and again as part of a corp. I've ratted, mined, explored, and fought in high, low, and null. I've been a part of notable and notorious actions and had a substantial contribution to several events that have become a part of the history of Eve. Last time this happened, I joined The Skunkworks and completely reversed my character's role in the game. Now I'm just not finding any compelling reasons to keep playing the game. I find a better sandbox in Minecraft than exists in Eve. And yet, part of me wants to stay with Eve. I want it to be the rush it used to be instead of feeling like a task that must be done.

So tell me, guys...what should I do next to make this game interesting again?

(no, you can't have my stuff if I go. I'll slip quietly into inactivity with an inventory full of PLEX to secure me again inflation and come back into the game at some later date when I have a reason to do so)

Fixed that for you Blink

edit: ..also, taking time off doesn't hurt. I have in the past and am on something like a sabbatical now. Best I can offer, is the suggestion to keep in touch with the game and leave at least one character training. Gives you the ability to come and chat on the forums here too.

For myself, I still have no idea what my next move in EVE will be. Maybe I'll go back to what I was doing, or maybe I'll do something new. New is temporary, but it's still new and I'm not sure it will keep me going or interested for long.

So much time invested in a virtual something can wear on the soul it seems. I think it has to do with the lack of real compensation for your efforts, and so it's probably easier for people who don't need their time/effort to count for something in real life.
