Ok i am almost sure i will upgrade to a full account however first i need to know, what now!

i have done the help tutorials and am on to the agent based ones at the very start, busy doing the mining ones. i have joined a corp, i belive these are majority usa based so i only see them if i stay up late (i am uk based) my plans or path i would like to follow is making money ie mining and making parts to sell on the market, a bit of piracy if needed Pirate
i have read so much in the way of guides etc that i think i am having an information overload moment lol and i have no idea what i should prioritise in the way of training
any advice will be appreciated, i do not want to fall into a rut and give up before i get started.

many thanks

This totally depends on what you intend to do.

Check my post here for skills that are always wise to train

In addition to the skill thoughts;

When I was new(er), I hit the same moment where I wanted all the skills and had trouble picking what to train while I got more sorted in the game.

I turned to the skills that are useful everywhere in everyship, think advanced weapon upgrades and the like.

Doing this let me focus more on the game and giving myself enough time to figure out what I actually wanted to do without shooting myself in the foot.

After all, some skills help just about every ship in the game. Drop a couple of those in ( use the above link to pick out a few ) then sit back and settle into the game.

You will find that your training goals will start to take form when you find something you enjoy to do. When that happens, don't be afraid to pause your Drone interfacing V training or whatever generic skill you currently have running and begin your new skill plan built around your new hobby in game.

When I first started EVE I felt the same way, "OMG, SO MUCH SHINEY!!!" I found the best thing to do was look at what ship I wanted next and trained for it and the skills to support it. If you are into mining you should look into your preferred race's mining cruiser then look into Mining Barges and Exhumers. You may end up more skill points in Spaceship command than you know what to do with but at least you will be flying what you want!

Good luck!

This. Go for the shiny at first, because it will take a while until you realize what it is exactly you want to do and, therefore, what you need to train.

Advice: try some combat missions, because mining gets old fairly quick; manufacturing, however, is a gold mine if done right.
