Statement to the Faithful

* The camera image opens to a night feed; a palatial balcony overlooking a steep cliff with waves crashing against the cliff face. Actual wood-burning torches light the balcony and cast sharp shadows. Silas appears before the camera, resplendent in an all-white dress. *

Greetings to the faithful Sabik! To our millions of brothers and sisters across the cluster. To those who dedicate themselves to personal fulfillment, power, and all that goes with it. Greetings to our brothers and sisters who follow us in secret; always close, always ready to act... truly our hidden blades that cut deepest against our enemies when the time is right.

I speak to you today to remind you that things have never looked better for those who follow the True Faith.

The Empires have never been weaker; Dragged into and endless war of attrition, trading blood and treasure in a useless cycle, wasting their potential over arbitrary lines on maps.

The False Empress sits alone on her throne of corpses, anemic and weak. How the "faithful" must weep themselves to sleep each night. Their crusade shattered and blunted like so many waves against rock. Their pride lost, their faith in tatters.

Their pain gives us strength. Their loss of faith renews ours. Their despair is our hope.

We chosen few who love you from on high embrace you with open arms and bless you with service to our cause...we will bring you into the light and show you the way. As Sabik you must always stay vigilant, you must always stay prepared.

Our time is coming.

With these good tidings however comes a directive; Those of you who follow Omir Sarikusa have been led astray. His failures are monument. His weakness is undeniable. His low-born whore of a mother mocks our faith, and mocks your dedication. He will be purged and his sect made whole again.

I declare any of Omir's faithful the enemy of my sect. I will kill any Blood Raider I meet, and give no mercy to his followers. Renounce your allegiance and serve me. I will be merciful to those who see reason... for a time.

Capsuleer followers of Omir are especially warned.

Let it be known, let it be written.

Our faith is in ruins and tattered?

News to me.

Not that I'm going to complain about you believing so while waging war on our enemies.

What does his mother have to do with the fact that he ascended the ranks of the faith and is now the leader of the largest Sani Sabik sect in the cluster?

Our enemies are at their weakest -- a perfect time to declare a schism? Hm.

Even though our love is cruel; even though our stars are crossed.

The signs are all around you. When they day comes that Jamyl is torn limb-from-limb by a mob of Theology Council priests, and the Heirs are at each others' throats, and Athra burns, you'll remember "I told you so."

The two are not mutually exclusive.

I suppose it is more sound than doing it when your enemies are at their strongest, yes.

Even though our love is cruel; even though our stars are crossed.

I wish you'd reconsider, Silas. I know that you won't, and that you've made up your mind.

There were better ways to have done this.

Wait, the sun rises? I thought planets in any given solar system simply orbited around the sun and spun upon their own axis so that the sun would be visible only to certain areas of it at a time and give the impression of the sun rising to those on the surface of the planet. I'll have to re-evaluate everything I thought I knew about solar systems.

Also, I am no brother of yours by any stretch of the word.

The Heirs are always at each others' throats, Miss Vitalia.

The other two conditions are somewhat suspect, even should H.R.M. Sarum I be found heretical by the Theology Council for whatever reason, tearing limb-from-limb is not exactly common practice here in the Empire.

I will await the day you've said is coming though, it certainly would be a herald to some interesting future events. I won't hold my breath though.

These declarations of faith are popping up like mushrooms during the rainy season. I suppose we can't let the Gallente start all the hot, new trends.

And this one is a bit more interesting than some of the others.

This was primarily aimed at a much wider baseliner population; the various Sabik flocks do need encouragement and proper guidance from time to time.

Our faith is more than a thousand years old so we aren't actually 'new on the scene' as you suggest.

We are a mirror of crystal clarity to the Amarr; one which reflects their true selves upon them should they have the strength to acknowledge it.

Translation: Since we have all embraced the Sabik faith, so too must all Amarrians have done so. We will prove it to them (and ourselves) that we're all the same in the end. It's simply not possible for them to be different from us!

I imagine that it's quite discouraging to be looked down upon and reviled by the cluster at large.

I believe you've misunderstood me. I am aware of the origin of your sect.

I am quite sure he's positively trembling in his blood bath at this announcement. Planning on employing the assistance of your Sansha friends in this campaign as well?

As I understand it Nation currently still enjoys amicable standings with the Blood Raider Covenant; this was confirmed between Neferis and Kuvakai himself two years prior [Kuvakei Statement]

As I imagine they consider this an internal Sabik matter I don't expect them to be involved.
