Ideas for a more blood lusty EVE

Been away a few months "working" on something and had a few thoughts to share. Not that anyone will care (especially the goonies), but hey, thought maybe I could help make EVE a more blood lusty place for all of us.

1 - No sec status hits in low sec space. None. Just like 0.0. Except keep the blinky status and the gate guns. I think this would turn every low sec gate system into an absolute war zone with everyone shooting everyone. Mix in the pirates, the wanna-be pirates, the pvp noobs, eve-U and their guys, the bored 0.0 guys and the FW folks and make it so that NO ONE has to worry about sec status. It would be a friggin epic free-for-all war zone in the belts and plexes. I guarantee it.

2 - Light dreads. The jump between sub-caps and caps is just too big. Give us a "light dread" class that fits and flies like a dread, except at half the cost with half the firepower. Set it up so that 2 light dreads are almost a match for 1 full dread. Go a little nutty and make them both jump-gate capable with short-range jump drives. Make them a gateway drug into the world of cap ships. And while we're on the subject, let's get rid of the cyno timer on the cyno ships. That was just a dumb idea.

3 - Real-time map alerts. Let me set an alert function in the map that sets off an alarm when a ship in a nearby system gets destroyed. Or X many ships. Or a pod, or X many pods... Make it easy for the sharks to sense blood in the water, so to speak. That way all the wanna-be PVP'rs listed above will be alerted to a scrum in a nearby system and come running. I tell you it would be a helluva time...

That was it. Enjoy the sweet dreams of total PVP carnage.

1 - Ban NPC corps, make individuals wardeccable
2 - Make wardecs unevadeable, remove anything even smelling like a decshield
3 - Make system intel/cloaking both reward active gameplay

Just because the OP posted bad ideas doesn't mean you should post more.

npc corps don't really protect new players, quite the opposite
they protect alts of old players, while disincentivising new players from joining player run corps - a proven way of increasing new player retention.

Actually I find reading this forum to be the most disincentivising thing keeping me from joining a player run corp. Straight

1) Turn off CONCORD for 2 weeks, claim "it was an accident/server error"
2) Everyone from low/null invades highsec
3) Bloodbath
4) Near the end of the 2 weeks, highsec players will have grouped together in a sort of resistance
5) Epic battle spanning hundreds of systems, involving 10s of thousands of players
6) Turn CONCORD back on
7) Everyone goes home, but highsec players are now more battle-hardened and less risk-averse
8) Eve enters golden age

I totally agree! Shooting stuff in lowsec should not necessitate grinding sec status. Smile

I am, this is my one and only character, I started playing 18 days ago, and I have learned much from this forum.

If that ever happens I think I will take that time to train some really long skills and take a break. I suspect a lot of other highsec players would too.

This would be interesting; exclude the handful of new player systems. Do it along the lines of "The Empyrean Age" for those who have read.

i.e. Concord gets ganked and taken off-line for a short period of time.

Also, dynamic vs. current static security regions.

You're still in Empire Space, you don't think the Empires would be keeping track of any shenanigans in their territory?
