One of those forum threads that evolves out boredom.
Rule is it has to be about Eve Online.

Why do planets have a "orbit period" attribute? They don't move - do they?

A planets "orbit period" can be like: xx days. How long is a day in Eve?
My perception of eve is: It was a dark, cold night...

Several reasons:

* Because the ganker would just suicide in jail and CONCORD's processes and procedures are so far behind the times (i.e. pre-cloning) that they would assume you're really dead and thus would not try to jail your clone.

* So you can gank again thus ensuring the continual need for CONCORD (i.e. job security.)

* Maintaining jails (feeding and monitoring the inmates, processing the paperwork, etc.) is just as boring as mining, whereas the real fun is in pwning ships with uber-WTFBBQ-ships with no repercussions. (i.e. CONCORD likes perfect kill ratios.)

How are you able to see what's behind you when travelling thousands of times faster than light?

Speaking of which, if you really are traveling thousands of times faster than light, and light has mass, how much damage do our ships incur by running into photons?

Actually this has been answered, something with the warp tunnel being in a different realm or something. Still working out my plan to warp into and orbitally bombard Azaroth Pirate

Because you're not popular, and unpopular people aren't allowed to get close enough to stars to crash into them. However, you can try your hand at being a papparazzi or becoming a member of the wait staff at local (high-class) restaurants if running into stars (and other VIPs and/or popular people) is that important to your sense of self-worth.

Why crash into stars when you can just warp right through them. Cool

How come when I'm standing on the balcony of my captain's quarters I can't walk down to my pod, and where's the place I put my clothes when I get into my pod?
