Triage Carrier and remote repper skills

Is it worth the time training Tactical Logistic Reconfiguration for the T2 Triage module? And is it worth it to train the capital remote shield, armor, capital transfers to level 5?

I've thought getting int a C5 or C6 wormhole and I've heard they use Triage carriers for running the sites and getting the capital escalations. So I'm wondering if taking those skills to level 5 is worth the time investment.

Thanks in advance.

We never used triage to do C5 and C6 sites. Of course we brought in one capital at a time instead of escalating all 4 waves at once, so we didn't have to deal with so many battleships and neuting, and the carriers can assign fighters.

1. Clear site
2. A pilot switches to carrier. Bring in carrier 1, the repper.
3. Clear wave.
4. A pilot switches to dread. Bring in siege dread 1, DPS.
5. Clear wave.
6. A pilot switches to dread. Bring in siege dread 2, DPS.
7. Clear wave.
8. A pilot switches to carrier. Bring in carrier 2, DPS.
9. Clear wave.
10. Salvage with alts while doing next site.

Took about 18 minutes per site using 8-10 passive resist RR Tengu (missile range is vital with spawns at over 100 km), 2 Chimera, and 2 Revelations. Pilots would switch out when there were 3 battleships remaining.

I'd recommend only training capital modules to level 4. The T2 triage module is only worth it if you use triage a lot. You will probably never need to remote rep structure, but it doesn't hurt to have somebody that can.

Note that getting stront into a wormhole is a pain, so you will want to use a freighter to hisec (about once a month you will get a hisec wormhole).

Ok, thanks. I don't see myself using triage that much then so I'll just take the training to level 4 and look for other int/mem skills to work on until my next calendar remap in 3 months. I'd hate to use a bonus remap with the calendar one so close.

RR skills are ok at 4, T2 triage is well worth it.

I have some thoughts, not neccesarily advice.

Lately I choose my skills based on 'Frequency of use'.

I use a Tengu every day, so I want all those skills at V.
I haven't used a Carrier in 6 months, so I don't train Carrier skills.

When I do use a Carrier, I jump places with it, so Jump Drive Cal was important for me. If I was in fleet combat with it on a regular basis, I would skill the T2 triage to V asap. After that I would do Capital Energy Emissions first, Then the Shield skills. From the top down basicly, as they are listed in evemon. I think for fleet combat, those skills in that order might save a LOT of capacitor for tight situations. And lets face it, cap is the weak point of any Carrier.

I have a general thought that ships that cost 1 billion + deserve perfect skilling.
But again, I base my skilling on frequency of use.

I looked over the T2 Triage stats and looks like it gives a cap usage reduction on the remote repping modules, so that looks very useful and probably worth the extra training time. Unfortunately I don't see myself using a triage carrier any time soon though.

As for the other Capital RR skills, I can't see myself training those unless I start using them a lot. So maybe someday.
