I find bombers, recons and blackops the some of hardest to fly well in combat. Which is not so say a well flown bomber flight, a Curse or a Widow isn't a nightmare to virtually any fleet. Outside of combat most are quite easy to fly as they cloak and warp.

Whatever is anchor in a 0.0 slugfest against Goons.

The lag is awful just trying to be an F1 monkey, forget about trying to keep range on 4 individual drakeblob fleets.

How much herp could a herp derp derp if a herp derp could herp derp.

Rattlesnake. Nothing but drones. Grab aggro, deploy drones, do other stuff, come back when everything's dead.

try using a shield gank brutix as bait for your fleet and then FC from it without dying.

The Drake is so Easy Goonswarm can fly a fleet of them. (No really. The drake is pretty easy)

hardest is Logi. Between receiving broadcasts, locking and repping, then doing that again once the enemy fleet switches targets. Factor in Falcons and other forms of jamming and damping, getting shot at, and overheating at the right times. It's the most stressful thing to do, but so worth it if you can do it.

hardest to fly for PvP is likely any bomber or logistics.

Most Frustrating is any Capital or industrial that bumps off the undock as you align for warp.

easiest would have to be a Drake or any Sniper boat such as a tornado.

easy to fly? drone boats, make your choise.

i tried flying merlin in lvl 1-2 few days ago and it was -fun-, flying in, quickly burst 1 down fly out while keeping distance to regen shield off with the crap fit i had (more pvp oriented fit than pve).

but when i fly my usual dominix, gila, or other droneboat, word "easy" becomes almost as easy as ice harvesting.

sit still, out tank it with shield or armor reps. drones nukes everything on their own and wontneed much herding after initial agro unless you get spawn triggers in the mission / deadspace.

though same can be devastating on harder missions. such as worlds collides L4 :P

but all in all, i dont think there is easier ships pve wise, than drone boats in "how mch you need to do per mission" with it.

and did i mention how much less skill wise drones needs from your character than turret/missile boat?

yet i still love flying them my self, simply cause of the massive tank i can afford to fit for one since i dont waste as many slots for "support" modules when i fly drones than if i were to fly turrets. eagerly waiting to get my hands in rattlesnake for some "real" resistance %'s

also i can vouch taht skill DOES play big role in whats hard to fly and what aint. i can from experience tell that it aint smart move, to shoot trigger ship after trigger ship, and then just stand still like i would usually do -trying- to kill them all as they suddenly just swarms me :P

or fly on effective range of 6 elite bs's trying to nuke down a structure with too weak drones and guns to do it fast enough :P

or fitting wrong hardeners for mission, heck, try any ship with wrong hardeners and there you got your hardest to fly ship, it just increases diffuculty ALOT

i would say that the difficulty comes down to the fitting and your tactics.
i generally see Ewar (neuts, ecm, etc.) as a fairly demanding kiteship, because EVERYONE wants you dead.

anyhow kite doctrines in general requires quite some skill.
and performing Blops/covert stuff correct as well can be a pain, and a bit steep to learn.

I love flying Recons, I would say they are quite challenging to fly well generally, Logistics is also difficult.

Kiting boats are generally not that easy to fly, Navy Slicers come to mind.

Any kiting ship are generally the hardest to fly.

Slicer can kill a dramiel/daredevil with no problems when it kites, but it has to stay inside 24k but outside of 9ishk which can be hard. One mistake and the slicer is dead.

Nightmare vs Vindicator.

A well flown Nightmare can destroy a Vindicator but it must stay inside 24k but if its webbed then the vindy will tear it apart.

That Slicer better stay outside 13-14km or it's ******. As a rule I don't like to get closer than 15-16km.

The Retribution is better than the Slicer, it can do everything the Slicer can, but it can also rep up armor damage. Big smile

I recently left the Slicer for the Retribution. I don't regret it at all!

Also, I'd say Logistics ships are one of the toughest.

Recons can be tough in certain situations.

Kiting ships take practice before they become easy.

Also, Mining Barges are quite difficult. I don't know how people fly them without murdering themselves in RL.

I'm back!

My PvP alt is 2 weeks old and is getting 370 DPS in a tackle Thrasher so in terms of training and cost for new players, I'd say Thrasher is the easiest.

Agreed - anything exotic, or that has a II or a III by it's name means congradulations - you are now public enemy #1. Especially ewar boats. How many times have you been in the middle of a well-planned fleet, doin your thing, and all of a sudden 2 or 3 falcons appear out of nowhere, 80K out and start ruining your day? Everyone HATES them, therefore they get primaried. I'd say anything that is expensive and has any role besides spray n pray is harder because you have to deal with becoming primaried.
