Complex Overview settings

Hello,
I'm having problems setting my overview.

The thing is like this:
I got 20 people on grid, but only 5 of them are in my fleet. I'm not blue/light blue to anyone in fleet ( no standing set with anyone in fleet ).
How can i set the overview in order for me to only see the people in my fleet on overview ?

Hope i made myself understood. English is not my best.

Thank You,

not sure why you want to only see people in your fleet, but:

1) Open overview settings
2) Go to first tab from left
3) states subtab
4) untick everything *except* the one for fleet members

_ I tried real-life once.  The graphics suck._

I took some classes with Agony Unleashed a year or two ago. Good PvP training. Probably got more out of the reading than the practical excercises...but still interesting. Not sure if anyone will scream at me, but I saved a few of the documents. The overview setup guide is pretty sweet.

Evemail me in-game if interested.

broadcast/watchlist?

You gain nothing from a list of players in overview, the watchlist or broadcasts at least lets you see why you have a reason to target them.

It's not working.
Damn, this game it's not 100% done :(
It lacks so many things. If only the devs would listen to the players.

This link is from EveUni and should help you get this all sorted out.

As i said, it's not entirely what I'm looking for. The overview settings are trash, not 100% done,
This is what comes close to what I'm looking for, but it's not:

Creating a Fleet Members Preset

Click the 4-lined box and select Load 1 - PvP.
Go to Filters > States and select the following (in addition to what was already selected):
Pilot has excellent standing
Pilot has good standing
Pilot is in your alliance
Pilot is in your corporation
Pilot is in your Fleet
Save the preset as 7 - Fleetmates

This is a preset that can be useful for fleet, wing and squad commanders to quickly see where their squad members are so as to do a headcount. It will also show anyone who is flying with the fleet, but isn’t actually in the fleet. Sometimes people disconnect and need a fleet re-invite - you can quickly see who needs one with this preset. It’s also useful for seeing what ship types you have in your fleet.

Note that this preset will show all pilots in space, not just fleetmates.

I bolded and underlined and italic'ed what is wrong in all of this.
I don't want to see anyone else in my overview than my fleet members.
I only want to see my fleet members, regardless of who else is near me ( no set standing, blue standing, red standing, etc. ).

Understand why am i saying that the game it's not 100% done and why so many things lack in this game ?

You only want fleet members to appear on the overview. You have found a guide that is really good. Normal logic states follow the guide and only select fleet members, your logic states that the game sucks simply because you can't follow logic.

the overview actually has pretty good fine-tuning. Not an aspect that that I've heard as problematic before your post.

you could temporarily assign them +5 (good standings) and then tick the good standings box in addition to the fleet box. This will only work correctly if you don't have others set to good standings. IF you do have others set to +5 and they wander onto grid they will show up. They will be blue so you know they are friends but they will not be invisible.

I use this setting for identifying my squad mates in large fleets. they show up purple on overbview but if you set good standings above in fleet in the appearance tab they show up as blue on the field.

NO Eve is not complete and probably never will be. If you have done any programming, using "ands" and "ors" always takes some trial and error though the surprises become fewer with familiaritiy. Sometimes the setting work like "ors" and then on the next tab they are "ands" If you don't know what that means, you are lucky. :)

I don't think you did read the first post, to see where the problem actually is.
Or perhaps i wasn't able to explain myself very good in english.

I'll try again, just for you:

Although 20 people are on grid with me, but only 5 of them are in fleet and none of them has a standing set ( i am not blue/light blue/red/orange with anyone on grid and in fleet - everyone is neutral with me ), i am unable to see on my overview only those who are in my fleet.

If you want to differentiate the people on grid from those who are in fleet, you need to have a standing set with someone.

I'll give you an example:
I just invited in my fleet a corp member.
I only enabled the option: "Pilot is in your fleet"
My corporation member doesn't show on overview!
Then i enabled: "Pilot is in your corporation"
Still, the pilot doesn't show on my overview!
I enabled "Pilot has excellent standing"
Only with "Pilot has excellent standing" AND "Pilot is in your corporation", now he shows on my overview.
Can i call to your logic to see where is the problem, or i need to spell it out word by word ?
I'll even try to explain in pictures if words don't do it.

It's still my logic broken ? I bet you didn't even tried to really understand the problem and just threw the "you're too dumb to follow a guide." line.

Muestereate is absolutely correct. Unfortunately a standing has to be set with those in fleet, in order for me to only see the fleet members on grid.
I thought i shouldn't come to that, because i'm not always flying with the same people, but if that what it takes...

I think I might know what op is talking about.
CCP broke the overview settings for 'blue filters' just before Incursion came out.
I reported this on 2011.01.30 and it has been acknowledged as a defect (bug id 106977).

"With the addition of the new ´Pilot has no standing´ state checkbox option the only way to filter only blues is to select this option as well.
The result is that everyone who is not in your contactbook gets added to the overview as well."

There is no workaround I know of.
