Stopped takin it seriously right there...
How so? It's not like the Atlanta crew wasn't hit hard by the lay-offs, and it's not like one of the complaints about that part of the CCP schedule was that they had too many fancy ideas with too little result…

Now, Glassdoor scepticism is one thing — who's going to bother if they're not annoyed by something? — but dismissing a post for no apparent reason like that doesn't make much sense.

It makes perfect sense when you've lived in Georgia for fifteen years.

So hating Kool-aid is a capital crime over there, is it?

29. Personal attacks and abuse of CCP staff.
There has been a worrying trend of increased personal attacks on developers on our own forums as of late, this will not be tolerated. Our forums are an area for players to exchange ideas in a polite and friendly manner for the betterment of EVE Online. Players who abuse staff will receive a permanent forum ban across all of their accounts which will not be subject to review at any time.

Have you considered... I dunno... perhaps... maybe, just maybe that this issue should be addressed at it's source rather than at it's symptoms? Tackling the problems rather than exacerbating them?
Just a thought.... look into it.

There is no issue, if you do not agree with how CCP is run nothing is stopping you from taking your money elsewhere.

Computer nerds complaining about toiling hours. Lol, join the army and go on deployment. That will put it in perspective.

Except nerds don't do well in the enlisted army, that's for dimwitted grunts. Now, going to officer school oth... telling dumb grunts what to do, that's gotta be worth the hours put in.

Wouldn't compare it to a minimum wage job. However there are more people wanting to work in the game industry than they have positions for so you end up with employee's who will work on the cheap. Making the atmosphere all the more unpleasant. Couple that with it being a niche game with comparatively low numbers and I'm sure it's even more of a stressful environment.
Hmm. Try animation or programming. There are a lot of positions, some skills in over abundance, but there are still some fields that are in demand and pay well. Often the sourced employee is relocating, so you are not going to just be able to pay minimum wage for skilled/trained employees, otherwise they stay at home and freelance onto various projects.

As for the OP, if the rating is right, than EA is the antichrist, that guys name that starts with H, and Martha Stewart all rolled into one!

I like how Valve has one review and it's five stars.

It's a cult!

Moved thread from General Discussion to Out Of Pod Experience, as although CCP related - it isn't really EVE related.

10 out of 10 for pointing out the obvious. Now, for your next trick, tell me again how to get a refund on subs already paid before CCP's staff began their campaign of hatred against certain individuals.

And for the trick after that, tell me how to get CCP to create an Internal Affairs department as opposed to merely telling us they have one.

Why do you keep playing this game and supporting CCP if you apparently dislike them so much? Cut your loses and move on, or were you/are you one of those kids that his parents eventually gave him what he wanted if he threw a tantrum long enough.... or maybe you're just addicted. Roll

This is ancient history and almost necro dragging this up again.

It reads mostly like whines from disgruntled ex-employees, but I suspect that the 'must speak Icelandic to get anywhere' has a core of truth, or least it used to be before they became more international.
As I am horrible with foreign languages and Icelandic looks insanely hard to learn this might be a problem, especially if you want to work in Reykjavik.

Any review site tends to be generally biased toward the negative side of things.

This is due to the fact that people who have no issues, are generally happy with their job, and are having a good time, tend to be getting on with their lives and having fun, and don't feel the need to poast about it anywhere else other than describing how awesome of a week they've had on places like facebook.

On the flip side of the coin, those who're disgruntled are more likely to want to make noise and have their bad feelings aired on professional sites to feel some kind of vindication.

I've been lucky enough over the years to meet a crapload of CCP's guys and girls at various events and have had the pleasure of visiting their offices in both Reykjavik and Atlanta.

All I've seen is awesome people and awesome working environments, so I'm calling butthurt on most, if not all of the reviews tbh.
