The character concept I had for this character was that, her father was a Matari archeologist, who knocked up a Gallentean scientist.

Are there any cannon examples of inter racial relationships that have resulted in progeny? I would assume it is physically possible seeing as we're all human.

Not sure about cannon examples despite spending several years on different planets with no contact, I don't think the various races of New Eden have split into substrata of humanity yet. After all, they are coming up with the racial blending features soon, and we already have some of those options available to us.

I thought I saw a sentence on Gallente culture in Evelopedia that suggested that many members of the federation are multiracial. Instead, I found this demonstration of bloodline blending as a proposed feature:

In biological terms, the game is set only 15,000 years after the closing of the Eve Gate. The theoretical diaspora of human populations from East Africa is estimated to have taken place between 60,000 and 120,000 years ago, with the Americas colonized somewhere between 50,000 and 14,000 YA. 15,000 years is a huge cultural gap but a small genetic one, assuming that everyone aside from the Jove and Sleepers were engaged in good old natural sexual reproduction.

It is definitely possible, and nobody will smack you for stating it as such, even though the character creator doesn't allow lots of granularity with your parentage/origins.

Just to point out, the word you're looking for is "canon", as in part of the established literature.

A cannon example would involve an Amarr battleship beginning planetary bombardment of a colony due to its insufficient racial purity. Because a "cannon" is a large device that fires projectiles via gunpowder or other gaseous accelerant.

I only bring this up because three people have made the mistake here.

(And, yes, there is immigration and intermarrying of people between the different empires, albeit in the case of an actual member of the Amarr faction it's unlikely due to the whole racial purity thing. Gallente are the mix of a number of colony worlds to begin with and the Minmatar have plenty of Amarr blood via a thousand years of slave-**** to begin with, and Gal/Min/Caldari are all democratic and welcoming to newcomers to one degree or another.)
