How easy is it to find an uninhabited WH for mining?

What may interest you then is gas harvesting. At Gas Harvesting V, with five T2 harvesters, you can harvest 100 m3 of gas every 40 seconds; there is also an implant if that interests you. In W-space, the gas clouds are filled with Fullerenes, and the resulting gas is used to create polymers which are then used to create T3 products. So there is quite a demand for w-space gas. The ISK/hr for gas harvesting is, in general, much better than mining.

Once you activate the Ladar site (ie: warp to it and see the popup message), you have about 20 minutes before Sleepers show up. Only in C6 Ladar sites do the Sleepers scram, so you can still get away in the other classes of W-space if you take too long.

I live in W-space and can honestly say there is no trick, you will die. You would need a level of assurance that can only be provided by having eyes on all known incoming holes (reduced to critical) and someone on hard watch with deep space scanners looking for K162's and unknown ships. Spam D-Scan constantly, then you are only about 80% more likley to die than in a high sec system. We will mine the more expensive ores from the grav sites in really cheap boats but there are still losses. Sometimes you may break even, but it's really not worth the effort. Shoot sleepers, Shoot day trippers, explore connecting holes for resources anything, but mining in Wspace is a major team effort not to be undertaken lightly or with inexperienced team members.

I am NOT crazy they made me take my medication this morning!

One does not simpy mine solo in W-space.

There are more than Sleepers there.....Bear

Everything in EVE is a trap.

And if it isn't, it's your job to make it a trap...:)

You hole dwellers are such Debbie downers. You're always talking about how boring life is in a hole. One would think that you'd jump at the opportunity to invite targets in. Something like "almost all holes are empty. All the pos' are abandoned. Bring in a (insert most expensive, least tanky mining barge here) then get rich fast. That's how I made my first billion"
