Planetary interaction, I want a ship for that!

Primae

it's a great looking ship, but it's useless, no one will ever use one for it's intended purpose.

since we have revamped the barges, why not revamp this as well?

increase the size of the commodity hold up to 60-100K for more practical large scale PI use, a t1 industrial has more cargo capacity at lvl 1 skills, making it the clear winner when choosing between PI ships.

Having an increased PI commodity cargohold would have this ship making a comeback and it's just a great looking ship.

as it is now it's completely useless.

unless CCP designs an entirely new ship for Planetary interaction, this ship will continue to remain on the shelves collecting dust in eve, and i don't want to see this.

it would also be a great option for new PI Industrialists with the larger cargo capacity, making it the clear choice of something to work towards when doing PI.

I'd really like to see this ship revamped or a new design for the Primae, i think CCP should look into this.

looking forward to thoughts on this subject

Can't you just use an industrial ship?
Just seems like a PI only ship would be a waste of development time where there is so many other things worth working on over that.

Its a freebie and not intended to actually be useful.

Just use a transporter.

yes you can use an industrial ship, but you are missing my point, a new ship designed for PI would be great

I for one like the look of the Primae and would love to see it become more useful.
If CCP's plan is to give every ship a useful role why shouldn't that include "gift" ships as well?

What does it need to do aside from move stuff?

That's too much.

then how much do you think is a good idea?

remember that the hold in this ship is for PI materials only, and nothing else, making it specialized like the new ore holds on mining barges,

the mackinaw at max skills has a 35K ore bay and it's smaller than the primae and the noctis.

is it so hard to believe that a ship as large as this would have a comparable cargobay as well?

CCP angered a lot of people when they released the Primea. Community loved the ship design so much but hated the useless stats/role it played.

CCP responded with the creation of the Noctis, killing 2 birds with 1 stone; finally giving people a dedicated salvage boat in the Primea hull.

Btw, I agree, buff the Primea so more people actually fly this Hangar Queen!

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Titans on fire outside "The Alamo" of NOL-M9. I watched massive Super Capital fleets glitter in the dark near the BKG-Q2 gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain...  Time to die.

I've actually thought about setting up some PI sites myself, so what if it's apparently not as profitable in highsec as it once was it still looks fun.

Come to think of it, for those who want to nerf highsec maybe the planetary interaction tax hike in highsec, and apparently how that caused lots of people to stop doing it, should serve as an example of just how easy it is to spoil highsec content with nerfs. Than again I suspect for certain people that's sort of the point...

Passive and lazy usually go hand in hand. Once you start branching out and having to micro manage multiple accounts with multiple characters no longer is it really passive.

CCP's Motto: If it isn't broken, break it. If it is broken, ignore it. Improving NPE / Dynamic New Eden

Primae needs a pirate faction version that can transport goods to/from the planet while avoiding customs office taxes.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

i think the point was to bypass some game restriction and allow trial accounts to try out PI

working as intended - but then again, they buffed the noobship so...
