Please post all problems with connecting to Buckingham into this thread. General instructions for connecting can be found in the dev blog from CCP Goliath.

Instructions for connecting to Buckingham with a Mac can be found in Evelopedia.

Known issues:

  • The launcher displays an error, when Buckingham is offline. Workaround: none, try later
  • The launcher version from Singularity is not compatible. Please copy the client (or only the launcher) from your TQ client.

This is known, as we are abusing the Launcher a bit. Blink

Keeps trying to connect to the Tranquility Server through the Launcher no matter what. Has the same issues as Singularity in this case in that the only way you can connect to Singularity/Buckingham is by sheer hope and a lucky rabbit's foot.

as long as sentient beings exist,

until then, may I too remain

The Launcher will display the information of Tranquility, but if you use /server:87.237.38.69 it should connect correctly to Buckingham after starting the client through the Launcher.

Keep getting an exception whenever I connect to Buckingham. I've already tried copying over the TQ install again just to make sure.

Did you use the same client, as you use normally for TQ? If this is the case, then you should be able to revert back to TQ by using a shortcut with /server:87.237.38.200 . To avoid this issue you need to copy the client first before you patch it to a test server.

i did copy it first and patched the copied client. After i loged on buckingham, the original client started to log me to buckingham also. But yeah i figuered out the TQ ip and reverted it back. Now its fine but i am afraid to start the buckingham one again.

Yes, it is offline at the moment for a small server side update. Should be back soon.

Instructions for connecting to Buckingham with a Mac can be found now in Evelopedia. Please let me know, if anything is unclear or not working (it worked for me at least with very similar steps). Important is to use the launcher version from Tranquility and not the version from Singularity.

Is this with the version 1.32 of the Launcher? If you have a different version, you might be able to revert to 1.32 by using /forceUpdate .

Launcher 1.325
Do you mean like this?

open /Applications/EVE\ Onlinebucky.app --args /server:87.237.38.69/forceUpdate

Because that did not work either. In the paste below I had to replace < with ( to get the foums to not think I was using HTML.

Try following once, to get the TQ version of the launcher. After this switch back to /server:87.237.38.69 .

open /Applications/EVE\ Onlinebucky.app --args /forceUpdate

Thanks. That worked.

BTW, 15 players on Bucky. Most likely because I can still get on Sisi where there were 1500.

Still getting that same error ... any fix for the non-mac users?

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

The same "fix" as for the Mac should work - start the client once with /forceUpdate. Otherwise it might be easier to just copy the /launcher/ folder from your TQ installation to the Buckingham installation.
