Had a fight recently against 2 of these new XL-ASB/MWD Cyclones, well, we were not 150 but a couple HAC (lol Deimos) huggins/drakes/Tengu took a huge amount of time to ever take them down and one of Deimos just warp off out in time because someone was neuting one of those Cyclones.

The problem is not eh ship it self, it's just the silly XL-ASB on it. Now add more slots and HP to make it the new "I win" button with XL-ASB's, or just limit the size and number of ASB's that can be fitted on ships and make them very decent solo small gang ships.

Realistically, you probably have to give the tier 1s an extra slot because we know you aren't going to take away a slot from tier 2s.

But why tf are you going to up their hp to tier 2 levels?What?It is just as simple to reduce tier 2 hp to tier 1 levels. And this will make your problems much less urgent with other ship classes.

Tier 3s, hmm. Does this mean you will be slightly nerfing their agility and speed? And I presume that means you will also be increasing their sig radius?

Are you planning on balancing the Harby and Myrm against the Drakeicane at all?


Hurricane: 18 slots
Drake: 18 slots
Harbinger: 18 slots
Myrmidon: 17 slots

Adding the missing low slot, giving the Myrm 100mbit/s and changing the rep amount bonus to resist bonus would be all that is needed to balance it, and even make it a viable option for fleets?


Leave the rep bonus alone!

I would like to offer a suggestion on what to do with the Prophecy. Some CCP employee (I don't remember the name, was it you?) suggested that it could be a drone ship. I think this is not a good idea because it would mean yet another ship with a -10% cap usage/level bonus but no actual damage bonus to lasers, and we know that has never worked out well on any hull. So please, don't make this mistake.

Of course you could also do a +10% drone damage per level plus +5% HAM or laser damage per level Prophecy but that seems a bit out of line.

I think everyone will agree that the Prophecy shouldn't be a clone of the Harbinger, and that it would be good to have a T1 HAM ship that serves as stepping stone to the Sacrilege. This also ties in with what to do with the T1 Amarr cruisers.

I believe the Prophecy should be the HAM ship so that the Maller can become the mini-Abaddon and the Omen can remain the mini-Zealot.

It would of course be good to have some T1 Amarrian cruiser that can use HAMs as well for a more continuous progression of the Khanid line of ships. The Arbitrator could be changed to have more launcher hardpoints. Unbonused HAM/Heavy Missiles work better than unbonused lasers on it. The HAMs compliment close-ranged energy neuting based fits, while Heavy Missiles have the range to compliment TD fits.

In my opinion, this distribution of weapon systems makes the most sense.

I agree. I would like to see the Cyclone get an extra mid slot to have both point and web, but when combined with two XL-ASB it would just be too powerful. I am in favour of limiting ASB’s to 1 per ship.
