So I Showed Him.....

I Sent Him A Buddy Account.....

He Subbed Up, only found out today ha had done...

I Get..... NOTHING

Your friend upgraded on 02 Sep 2012 using a non-eligible payment. - Reward I Choose - 1 Plex

So... What your saying is, unless he pays a certain way, thanks for inviting your family to play and pay...

But we arnt gonna give you the reward for persuading them to do so..

Working as intended...

I've encountered this aswell with my GF, you have to file a petition and they do it manually due to an exploit with buddy program rewards and PayPal...

I invited my GF through the buddy system, and I didn't get my PLEX, I filed a petition and WAITED FOR A REPLY. The Dev explained that there's an exploit with it. They'll get back to you asking for both accts email addresses, then they'll manually give you the reward when they see this is the case.

So basically you're upset that you're not getting free stuff. Shouldn't knowing that you've shared the EVE experience be reward enough? What?

Dear moron,
The accepted payment methods are CLEARLY listed on the buddy invite.

If you actually liked your brother in law, you would have sent him the invite, bought a PLEX (the one you are going to use to pay for your next month), traded it to him, had him activate, gotten the PLEX back, and he could have played free. You're greedy and stupid.

The ability to read and comprehend is not a mandatory prerequisite for playing EVE.

Perhaps his brother in law was well aware of the ramifications when he chose his method of payment. If so, he will feel right at home in EVE. Being able to economically gank a relative in EVE before even playing the game for the first time shows rare talent.

Hi,

The eligible payments can be funded by Credit/Debit cards, PayPal, WebMoney Transfer, paysafecard, ETC, PLEX and iDeal.

Payments not eligible for this offer are Direct Debit, CD Keys, including CD Keys purchased or received from non-CCP sources and online stores such as, but not limited to: Steam Store, Direct2Drive, Gamers Gate, Impulse Driven.

If he used paypal it could take up to 3 days for the reward to be issued.

If he had used an eligible method, then please raise a petition using the Billing and Accounts > Trial Accounts category.

I hope he enjoys the game!

I'd like to think this is what happened, especially after the OPs post about PLEX he posted the other day.

Agreed. Targets are always welcome.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

This is how I help RL friends try out the game. (Also, if they end up not liking it, it makes it easier for them to give me their stuff. Pirate
