My one-man corp has just declared war on the alliance "Strategic Warfare Operations Command". This alliance contains 5 corps with members who run incursions. If you would like to ally/join my corp and thereby pick up some nice, free, juicy, carebear WTs you may contact me via evemail and I will extend you the required offer, etc.

You know the defender is the one that gets allies, right?

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Yup. I meant in the context of adding my corp to alliance.

I'd help, but you're too much of a badass.

Is anyone gonna fall for this?

It's been done before. Doubt you will get a bite.

*smells something funky* Those 8 days of focused hardy skill training will surely have people lining up to help you!!

Would you mind telling us a little bit as to why you need help? I mean you have skills to declare war on 5 corp alliance, surely you do not need any help to knock these meanies down a few notches!! They are after all in your own words carebears, I mean someone as brash and overpowering as you seem to be, should be able to handle this easy war alone.

I'm a nerd, you can check my stats!! Skilling Int/Mem at 45 sp per minute is how I mack!     I'm like a lapdog, all bark no bite.

Well that was an interesting experiment anyway. It was a legit offer, with plenty of juicy kills available, and everyone was too paranoid to take advantage. The wardec itself provided a tactical advantage for another toon for reasons I don't need to go into. The offer on forums was meant to be found by the WTs.

Oh well, opportunity knocked, no one answered, and now it has gone away. I am semi-curious....if this had been a "tarp", how exactly would it have worked? My 55k SP toon would have waited for an experienced solo pilot (or group of pirates) to join up for the free kills and then killed him? Big smile It's hiliarious that when the reasons for an opportunity are not blatantly obvious, no one on Eve will touch it with a 10' pole because they don't understand it and don't trust their own knowledge of game mechanics enough to take advantage of it.

To answer some quesions posed:

This was never about me asking you for help. This was just free high-sec wardec targets for whoever wanted them.

"Enough skills to start a corp and wardec someone" = About an hour of skills....actually it may have been a lot less. 14 minutes if I recall?

You also can't join an alliance if you are an aggressor in a war.

Oh well. Like I said, the "free WTs" aspect of this was a secondary consideration.

Still, anyone who applied would have been admitted to the corp and had free incursion WTs for a week. I was surprised no one even inquired considering how much trash is talked on the forums about how "war is great it just means more targets!!!11111".

Still no explanation for how this was somehow a clever trap that "has been tried before". The only thing I can think of is that I could have had 10 friends waiting to join corp at an inconvenient time and surprise attack my new "corpmates". However, a small experienced group of independents or individual should have had no problem seeing that coming a mile away, stayed on the move, and gotten lots of great kills on reds or even blues regardless of any "devious plot" I may be suspected of. Am I missing something? *confused*

... but was the first part of the title.

Also, the say-something-stupid-and-claim-experimentation-upon-failure gag is old.

The point of the post was the hopes of the WTs finding it. The reason for the wardec was separate and primary.

How'd this work out for ya? The 1 incursion running pilot left corp for a different corp, kept running incursions while the rest of us just kept up our normal routines...next time actually log in and try and bring a fight, it would have been much more interesting!
