This forum is getting a bit too serious lately, so I need a light hearted discussion on the easiest and hardest ships to fly. Stick to ships that actually get flown though, a ship is not necessarily hard to fly because it sucks or suck because its hard to fly.

So, what ships do you think varies most performance wise, based on individual pilot skill and experience? And which one is the most dumbed down ship in the game?

I think it mostly comes down to fittings.

If easiest comes down to the ships which require the least attention/piloting skills than it is a lot easier flying a marauder on a Lvl 4 angel extravaganza then it is to fly a dramiall in a small pvp gang.

Easy
PVE
armor/shield tank
Sit there and shot
Hard
PVP
speed/sig tank
Staying at optimal, ducking in and out, getting in the proverbal and making it back out again :-)

If easiest come down to cheap fits you can have fun with, anything (e.g. bc) with a tank and webs will give you some entertainment against smaller stuff.

Don't fly them so much myself, but isn't dictors pretty demanding? Its a fast ship that everybody wants dead and that you need to actually fly and put in the right place to be able to drop bubbles. This in parallel with the tactical dimension of where and when to actually bubble.

Also logis: It's a huge difference in a experienced logi-pilot and a green one. Making them "hard" to fly I guess?

Easiest ship to fly: Drake... just tank and spank with missiles... you even don't need to move.

Hardest ship to fly: Scythe Fleet issue... fitting is already a nightmare not to speak about using it in the fight. But once you know what it can and learned to fly it adequatly you will love it.

I guess easiest would mean the ones that have the most room for errors. Such as not recognizing an enemy likely to kill you, reacting fast enough or not having the ability to correct a mistake if its made.

Shuttles are pretty easy to fly.

Hard could mean any of:
- High skill requirements
- Difficult to fit
- Effort required to use in combat

Requires minimum Cruiser 5. Drake doesn't have that painful threshold. Lol

The hardest ships to fly I know of are solo Logis, gang Logis, and then sig/speed tanked brawler frigs. Nothing quite like having everyone in the fight shooting you and having to manage your own + everyone else's health. There's also nothing quite like using a sheet of paper as your tank and going into neut/web range where even one mistake will instapop you. Lol

noob ships

-

titan

noob ships because everyone can fly them and get them for free
titans because you have to sit in a pos all day and send other people to go have fun (or at least a fight) while you wait there and do nothing.

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.

Leviathan is the easiest to fly. You just sit there and shoot things using your one type of missile and DD. You used all your mids for hardeners so there's nothing to do there either. You can align to something but at 80 m/s you will not make much progress. And generally your FC will just tell you what to do.

The hardest single ship to fly is probably a frigate, pvp with frigates can involve exceptional amounts of skill which other classes lack.

Some people say Logis are hard but with 1u1d and fleet broadcasts it's pretty simple really.

Multi boxing a nano gang is nightmarish if you don't have software, but that's more of a fleet rather than a single ship.

I find nano/kite ships the hardest to fly because you always have to manouver to stay out of scram/web range and most of the time you have to live on the edge because if you go too far your damage sux.
Close range blaster ship are a bit easier to fly because the only difficulty there is to land a proper tackle once you catch them there is not much you can do you are not going to run away if you lose its a all or nothing situation.
Then there are the fleet ships that are designed to be part of a fleet and most of the time they are the easiest to fly because you just have to follow orders.
