Why does it take so long for my petitions to get a response?

It has almost been a week, and I still have yet to hear back from somebody in regards to my petition? I don't recall exactly, but I think I remember watching an interview during the Alliance Tourney about the petition process, and that legitimate petitions on average take about 48 hours or less.

Guess what?

I call complete rubbish.

Out of curiosity though, how many people handle the petition process?

Honest answer: Probably because GMs have to deal with so many frivolous or improperly-filed or redundant petitions. I wish people would take into consideration the GMs' workload and file petitions sparingly. Everyone benefits! Smile

They take longer if the petition is stupid or you put it in the wrong "in" pile

Petitions are handled on a first come basis.

You file, you get put in queue.


This can take a while, depending on accuracy of petition filing location and how full the queue is.

The only time I ever had to petition something it was answered withing 3 hours. You either filled out a stupid petition or you have a more complex problem that only a dev / senior gm can solve.

All of the petitions I made were answered in a day or less. In 3 years I made less than a dozen and none recently. A few of them were bug related ship replacement petitions but at least one was a newbish question that I could've had answered if I asked in the help channel.

It's because they hate you. Personally.
Every other petition gets responded to pretty quickly.

They are wasting your time, because they know you're wasting ours by not using the search function.
