Can we please have channel chat filters

Being the owner of a channel, and being able to put a filter in effect that replaces word X for Y would be an awesome addition.

I'd love to see this implemented as it would make both make owned channels cleaner and hilarious at the same time replacing words for others.

edit/Pilot saying the word should/could still be displayed the said word for even more hilarity.

Yeah, this is one of those obvious things that tends to surprise me hasn't been added to chat yet. Also: Channel mods should be allowed to talk in some sort of coloured text so it shows up to all channel members easily for annoucements/warnings and the like.

I was going to say this issome nanny-state non-sense ... but it's ... mehhhh ... this is how i would do it lol:

I think if anything the filters could come as preset check box options in the general settings "disable links, disable profane language" plus a customization option for channels you own but everyone should see the changes in effect... hilarity is okay, but common now... i wanna see what non-sense is coming out of me as well....

No. this would be a waste of development time; the current chat room controls are fine as is there is no need to iterate further.

No they are not. You can't allow access based on standings. Either, you can't completely disable that damn incursion channel, permanently. And we neither have multiline tabs for the chats. Controls are not fine. Though this topic would really be a waste of development time :)

I'd rather guess at a "doesn't bother me", or worse, "my links/swears wouldn't get through such filters". Of course people like that are against it and don't give any reasons.
