CCP in stealth mode?

They seem to have gone dark on us.

Havent seen a dev blog for weeks that detailed any significant changes to the game or upcoming coolness. The silence has become deafening. I'm sure it's all hands on deck atm with the upcoming intergration of DUST into EVE. but seriously

Where are the cool trailers? (yes I know a bit lame but we likes them) I did see something the other day that said CCP Guard mentioned big things coming soon. It has been ages since anything specific was posted. Community spotlight blogs are nice, but hardly revelatory.

Please throw us a bone....

They are spec-ing out the Winter expansion. I'd give them some time... there are a lot of variables to consider and they are talking about revamping some really fundamental systems that will have a major impact on the game (Crimewatch / Modular POS's). I suspect the gameplay is going to change a fair amount for 2013. ...good thing too. Gotta keep it fresh.

Yup, nothing to say when they are still planning. Otherwise the ideas that they come up with are gonna start being taken as reality because people are stupid.

This the planning where the devs sit in the center of a room and throw darts at post it notes on the walls? The best things in Eve came about that way and then when they stopped doing that and trying to think by themselves Incarna happened and Eve almost died Evil

Well the problem with talking about ideas which are just that ideas is that idiots on this forum will interpret 'We are thinking of making changes to X' as 'OH MY GOD THEY ARE NERFING MY X!'

Winter's going to have a lot of frigate changes that we already know about, it's going to have some cruiser changes (specifically to Arbitrator, Blackbird, Celestis... and... uh... the Minmatar one) that we don't know about yet, and it's going to have FW changes that are pretty cool overall. There have been posts about this stuff more recently than "weeks" ago.

It'll also have some kind of a DUST link, and an ORE frig.

So it sounds better than Inferno, so far.

What about "We have nothing to say at the moment, because we are planning"? I know CCP Guard said this on a forum post somewhere, but i'm talking about a dev blog. A dev blog saying that they aren't releasing any dev blogs because they are planning stuff.

Hey, still more usefull than half of the "Community Spotlight" filler blogs.


Also, consider that this is the first time that we go into september after "summer vacations" with a comunication blackout. Which is good, since they are obvioulsy planning stuff bigger than ever.

kind of nice to see that others had noticed the same. Definately been a big ol pile of not much recently. Miss the days when patches like dominion were launched. I realise we needed a lot of iteration done, not a bad word in my book either. But still I'd like some cool shiny stuff at some point or at least to hear something.

The frig /cruiser balance hasnt got me too excitied and sorry but changing some numbers on the stats of ships (yes despite the profound effects this can have) doesnt feel like new stuff, just the old repackaged. Just would like to hear from them about new stuff.

They are probably trying to piece together a plan for Winter before releasing more info. Though why they don't plan things out further in advance is beyond me.

Sadly CCP has technology over cloaking devices that they haven't added to the game yet.

Their first cloaking device was called long term vacationing II.

Now I think they are using cloaking device called Hard work preparing expansions I.

At least hopefully that is the cloaking device they are using.

Ever been in Iceland in the summer time? I'm surprised to see any devs pop up between June and October and if they didn't, I would not blame them.

Let them have a summer. Burned out companies make crap games.
