Dear CCP Devs,

I know you guys are incredibly busy with the current development of "spaceship barbie" and "DUSTBusters" but this systemic glitch. Closed socket, whiich I'm pretty sure I am not the only one experiencing here, has been randomly disconnecting me from the server and to add this problem is not client based, I kindly ask that this issue be researched and resolved because I can say this problem was not apparent before crucible expansion.

Thank you for your attention,

The only good thing about it is, it helps disconnect the AFK miners and botters during their cycles. Cool

Oh FFS James....this should be considered spam at this point since it's all you say everywhere you post.

Since 1 out of 5 accounts disconnect due to this problem and always the same account, yes conferming the problem is not on my end.

I don't think it is. The problem is very widespread.

Then again, I haven't had it yet.

Only error I get is the 404 when trying to post.

Same. I didn't know it was wide spread, so thanks for clearing that up for me Cool

I love how "RAGE QUIT" and "James 315" posts are mere seconds apart...

I thought I was lucky, but I've been whacked about 8 times starting yesterday.

I have them as well all of the sudden.

But I'd like to find some common denominator with you, mostly because I recently upgraded my firewall: ZoneAlarm, which, in this case, gave me some interesting clue:

When I had the socket closed error, ZoneAlarm was also notifying me that eve.exe wanted to accept connections from extern (start a server). Trusting as I am, I set it to allow & remember and restarted the client. As expected, I later had the socket closed again. No wonder actually - since my machine is behind the cable modem that doesn't route incoming connections, so if the client expects something, that wont work.

I'll create a ticket as well but also would like to know what's your setup?

Well, they oughta know what to do with them hogs out there for shure.
