OP - you could always start basing out of 0.9 (or was it 0.8 already that the NPC BS spawn?), noone without significant assistance gets to hang around and tank that for any meaningful time.

Also, since the implementation of FW, NPC navies have had non-stacking-penalized webs, which, combined with uncancelable warp, mean that anyone at speed with incomplete alignment that gets hit with a web is effectively tackled (even though "navies do not point") and will most probably die eventually.

//edit: ah I hear warp can now always be cancelled. wow, nice one - only 3+ years?

i just locked an open door.. strange, yet symbolically compelling.

This should be in Ideas forum... either way, i completely agree NPCs in all sort and forms are completely useless and should get a really large buff to make them seem more menacing, right now as stated, a single battleship can clean a whole huge fleet of npcs like a hulk mining veldspar, personally i believe it would be nice if it was something like

making them based on the player skill levels and meta levels, so
navies use meta 5 (tech 2) and have the equivalent of players with lvl 5 skills
missions use equivalent level to skills
so lvl 1 skills lvl 1 meta 1 modules
lvl 2 etc etc etc and so on.

reduce the ammount of npcs on missions and all around the server by the adequate ammount and increase bounties on the same factor, that way instead of killing 70 angel battleships in angel eztravaganza you have to kill lets say 7 one per room 2 on the final room, and each one has huge bounties.

This.

Perhaps we could re-title the thread, "FW Players useless?"

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

What is the point of an NPC pirate, if they can't kill anything?
In missions, mission runners frequently clear whole area without any problem, they can easily tank the NPC's endlessly with the proper setup.
CCP, you need to learn the term "Escalation" Oops

In any realistic situation, if the pirates can't affect the enemy, they would call for more rum....
I'm all for more fights, but seriously, if your going to make a "pirate", at least make it more useful than Goons ......8)]
