I am looking into buying a character with high Gallente/Minmatar standing, like 8.0. How much would I expect to pay? I am assumeing their other skills are only there for the grind to that standing, i.e. mission ships.

Very much depends how much training has been done on the account, standing is not something that usually factors into the sale price too much. Price is mainly about SPs
