Two different uses.

The dramiel is about autocannons, and flying fast around your target blasting it while making your target's guns have a hard time following you. Its bonus also allows you to have a good chance against other fast frigates.

The daredevil on the other hand, is about locking your target in place with a stasis while blasting it with hybrid guns. It doesn't do as good as the dramiel against other fast and small ships without the stasis because of a bit slower weapon tracking.

Two different play styles, because you will lose a mid slot in order to put a stasis, while the dramiel isn't forced to do so.

There's no cowards, no brave men, no good or bad guys, no honesty or fairness - there's only killmails.

I would say the dramiel is better for your own benefit. Good damage and it's so fast that it's actually hard to kill.

The Daredevil will be appreciated in a fleet that need your web bonus to :

- Make fast moving target easier to kill

- Make sure the target can't run away.

All and all, they are both very good ships. Though i would use dramiel for solo. I have a daredevil that i take out from time when we gang roam. The web bonus is appreciated, and it's still very good dps. But if i get primary (not often but it happens), i than wish i was in a dramiel. :3

FiS should be the priority, but WiS should not be burried!

Don't encourage CCP to make empty promises or Incarna will happen again!

That ol' ploy, eh?

'I'm secretly ashamed of my being a coward. But if I deny the existence of cowardice, then I continue my risk-averse behaviour while keeping my self-esteem intact.'

Spout off your e-honour rubbish all you want - disengaging/avoiding an unwinnable fight is unarguably the smart thing to do.

Cowardice is when you run away and leave your buddy to die when you could have done something to help that had a moderate chance at success.
Pragmatism is when you could leave a losing fight, and do.
Wanking is when you go onto a forum and call people who ran away in order not to die cowards because you lacked the skill to pin them down and kill them.

That said, nerf the Dramiel into the ground so we can have our diverse frigate combat back.

Everyone flies a dramiel but to be honest the daredevil looks nicer and is way more awesome.

Both ships are great.

Main difference is that dram does't require any brain to be piloted and DD needs a ton of isk to be fitted properly.

So, if you aren't 101% sure, choose dram.

mainly because of the web, but having a RF disruptor and C-type ANP's on the ship pushes the envelope even further.

Dram:

Easy to fit, does respectable DPS and has a serious amount of speed and agility. Even although it has no web it tracks even afterburning ceptors. It has massive GTFO ability and this is the reason so many people fly a dram yet none of them ever use it when they are dieing.

The dram is overpowered, in the right hands...unfortunately it never ends up in the right hands.

Daredevil:

Hard to fit with good dps/tank without spending a mint or sacrificing too much, it does epic dps, my fit being in the 400+'s. It requires more skill to use, it is capable of taking down recons and hacs faster than any other frig in the game, even faster than some BC's due to its 90% web, 400+dps with no tracking or sig issues. I would say a good fit DD (afterburner, faction web, duel magstab + good pilot) can down a vagabond faster than a drake can.

So really, if you want simple/cheaper ship to fly, dramiel but like most others....you will lose them to bog standard frigates.

However there is not a single frigate alive I would not engage with my daredevil, I would engage a hawk under certain circumstances, he has to be mwd fit ;)

However I have and many others, raped dramiels beyond believe in DD, ranis, hooky, hawk, harpy, rocket crow...so cockyness is what loses the fight half the time.

Enjoy

Dramiel has great DPS and is the fastest ship in the game, the Daredevil has better DPS (at least for me) and is also pretty damn fast. But as for which one is better depends on your skills and play style.

EDIT: The Dramiel also has the bonus of being the sexiest ship in EVE.

Pretty much this:

Dramiel = Flexible with good dps

Daredevil = King of dogfighting.

The dramiel can fill a variety of roles, it can produce alot of dps and a decent shield buffer for a ship that fast, this makes it popular since it can beat pretty much any frigate 1v1 except the daredevil and some assaultfrigates who manage to catch it.

The Daredevil is basically designed to kill frigates, it's insane dps and webbing bonus makes it unbeatable in this role. It's price like any serpentis vessel makes it a rare sight though since you can get a similar preformance from most AF's.

EVE online is the fishermans friend of MMO's. If it's too hard you are too weak.

This is why they should either take them away from the game or put every single ship/race at the exact same level.

Skill doesn't matter that much when you fly the most powerful stuff out there but would certainly matter if you had the same tools than every one else, then yes killmails would have their good reason to exist.

You've just proven nobody cares the race, the background or overall the content from the moment he gets the most killmails.
