I am sure the solution is known somehow, but I thought I'd post this nonetheless.

I googled and noticed several old and new threads featuring the same issue yet nobody posting a possible reason.

I was getting a lot of times the Input may not contain html comment all the time and didn't get behind the actual reason until my common tech scene finally returned to me -_-.

In a recent thread, I used the larger-than/smaller-than symbols ">" and "<" in opposite positions, causing the forum software to actually read a html tag.

When combined, these are of course html brackets.
I know it is stupid on my side of not figuring that out earlier, but there might a people who do not know this or are totally unaware of that, so I am sharing this which could or may be a solution.

Remove any usage of > and < that could build anything resembling basic html when posting else you are likely to get the error and that will screw your post.

I always misunderstood the part with HTML with actual links to other threads, but my issue was using the point brackets whose name I forgot in english (though I suppose the mathematical "larger/smaller than" is thorough.

Sorry if this is OFN.
I'm guessing others had this problem though.

I'm probably typing on a Tablet too, which means the auto-correct is silly and fixing typos is a pain. I ain't fixing them.
