It is certainly possible to repair damaged T2 lasers, you may do so at any station repair shop, or by using nanite repair paste.

It is not possible to repair any form of laser modulation crystals though. This includes T2 and faction, as well as T1 and T2 mining crystals.

Thanks a lot. I meant the Charge and not the Module. Thanks for answering both :)

You can't repair any charges.

If you take all the sand out of the box, only the cat poo will remain.

I was so cosseted by infinite ammo when using T1 crystals Big smile
Let me have undestructable T2 crystals. Only me. Or I start to cry!

Its not quite that predictable, I don't think.

But yes, tech 2 and faction crystals take damage when you fire them, they are not infinite. If they were, there would be such a glut of them on the market they would be almost free.

When shooting POS or stations, use T1 ammo. And your ship is unlikely to survive long enough in PVP to need too many crystals. Blink

You can however reprocess the crystals when they almost dead.

Depending on you reprocessing skills you might be able to sell the reproccessed materials and recover some of the value. (Or build a new crystal with it)

as stated by my esteem fellow posters you can't

Faction crystals will last you aprox +/-10 000 shots while the t2 will last you something like +/- 1000 shots if i remember correctly a set of crystals tends to burn out at the same time and usually during the worse possible moment
So it can be important that you carry a spare set of them in a small sperate container to prevent mixing new and used crystals
because it is a pain trying to find out which crystal is almost burned out and what crystal not

I do not agree with what you are saying , but i will defend to the death your right to say it...... Voltaire

The only way to find out what craystals are damage and how much is to charge them and then to look at the info popup. I have seen contracts where it is shown how damaged a crystal is. So the other way is to create a contract for a crystal and then watch the contractinfo. WTF? I think it is impossible to make it more complicated!

Yeah, I keep a spare set of T1s in cargo. With auto-reload, there is a slight delay, but a fair trade for the extra cargo space.

I have great faith in CCP Games to find a way.

The ability to put damaged items into a contract at all (and ergo see their damage) is a recent change, so they're at least putting that feature in there Smile
