How CCP managed to balance ugly ships...

So, I join Eve last month, and I take a good look at the ships.

Caldari - Hmm, boxy. Boxy isn't bad, just not what I would pilot through space.
Minmatar - Scaffolding and solar panels (I get the history no need to "correct me"
Gallante - Bulky in places, but not bad some of them. Nice carrier.
Amarr - Hey, symmetrical and not bad to look at.

So I decided to play Amarr cos I like the look of them...

Hmm, where's the catch?

Aha - Amarr look bloody ugly. Hence the hood.

Way to go CCP.

That is exactly why I chose to be Gallentee!! Even among Gallente I am considered the 3rd most hadsome male in the galaxy.

Helicity is the sparkliest Khanid after all :D

But really, all the blood lines and all the genders aren't too bad, it just takes some certain aesthetic skill to pull off making them look really good.

I will admit I'm a bit peeved by the creases I can't get rid of, they make me look too old D:

The "Solar Panels" on Minmitar ships is part of there Ladar targeting systems.

EDIT: Funny how the Non-drone boat Megathron has a visible drone bay, while other drone boats don't.

But seriously, you can play whatever character race you want, and still fly all the ships. I'm minmatar but I fly mostly caldari ships.
