CCP Aporia has some good news to deliver in his new dev blog.

Have a great weekend everyone, and please leave your feedback here as always.

p.s. if you go to the test server for some extra-early spinning action, we have a test server feedback thread ready for you here.

Excellent news.

No mention though, of whether the CQ you switch into will be one of the new (racial) CQ's - or whether we're still stuck with the Minmatar default.

Awesome - thank you CCP!

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

The other racial CQs will come later (but still soon).

i doubt ccp will be rolling out the new racial CQ's on the 18th m8!

more than likely they'll come out with the winter expansion! CCP i think realises that people miss ship spining and that the reduced RAM and death toll on GPU's may encourage people to come and play a bit more.

Alrighty... I'll look forward to hearing more.

Yeah, I appreciate that. And the likelihood is high, that we'll end up having to wait 'til winter, like you say, and yet Torfi himself had announced they would be released in October, so I'm still hoping that they'll 'Deliver' on that 'promise'...

Will this make EVE playable on lower-end graphic cards without Shader Model 3 again when the CQ feature is disabled?

/me really wants to be able to set skills training from my Atom-based netbook when I'm on the road

You will go down in history as the lamest takesy-backsy company of all time if you don't spin it like pros.

- Activate Movie Making drones.
- Order drones to make flick of THE DOOR being approached and slowly opening to the sound of an appropriately dramatic score.
- Show that the Hangar view was behind THE DOOR this whole time!
- Throw in voice over saying "It was there! .. all along!"

There, spin and employment for lazy movie makers

No. Because Shader Model 2 was booted out long before Incarna.

Did anyone else notice that they put

"New to EVE? Start your 14-day free trial today.

at the bottom of the devblog? :D

I won't say it didn't take long enough, but thank you. I hope the Winter expansion continues on this path of listening to your customers.

Fix POSes.  Every player should want one (even if all players can't have one).

No. Because Shader Model 2 was booted out long before Incarna.

Shader Model 2 support was booted because of the Incarna engine though. Initially, Shader Model 2 support was only formally unsupported, but the EVE client ran fine except for the character creator. Only when CQ was released did the EVE client no longer boot at all on systems that didn't support Shader Model 3.
