What do you think CCPs plans for armor and shield tanking are?

Isn't the idea of balance that equivalent fits should explode at the same time?

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

But as an eft exercise in shield v armor imbalance ok I guess. A more realistic fit would have been better to post to make the point though.

H- same

M- same except a meta 4 100mn mwd in place of web, and the warp scram would be meta 4

L- drop one magstab II and replace with nanofiber internal II, and make the DC a meta 4

Eft says all level 5 against uniform damage distribution it tanks 1218 dps (boosting 1783 hp per 4 seconds but better resists, and did not figure in drugs or heat) and puts out 1360 dps with faction anti-matter (and no heat). It can move at 1139 m/sec and for 1m 54s running everything (also no heat). If you overheat it would of course all look better for as long as you don't burn anything out. And yes a rapier alt instead of a falcon alt would benefit it more.P

my tought about tanking rebalance are:
- only 1 ASB per ship
- remove speed penalty from ACTIVE tanking armor rigs, buffer armor tank just got its buff, its time for active tankers now.


just these 2 changes would fix alot of things and after that if we need more changes we can start thinking about that



ps: i always say that but probably is a stupid idea because noone second me but i think hull tanking need a buff as well, tweak fitting reqs of bulkhead, remove speed/mass penalty , increase the % that bulkheads give to your hull hp or add hulltanking rigs, this (if made correctly) would give a good advantage to gal buffer blaster ships.

Why? I'm no capital pilot (that's why I'm asking)...but I hear Phoenixes, Chimeras and Wyverns can field a strong tank. What makes armor king? Free med slots?

phoenix is a joke, so is chimera.
also all good ships for brawling is armor: archon, loki, proteus, bhaal, vindi, kronos, ect.

but this kind of fleet only works well in small number with limited capital support, and only popular in wspace.
