There is no word on them because everyone in CCP can see the issues with them.

Last I heard of these implants they were proposed by CCP as one of like 8 different possible solutions CCP was considering looking into to help with Super Balance before the last round of it.

I think the reason you pvp in armor tanking mostly is so you can use your lows for Buff/Dmg mods and you Mids for Web/Scram.. ....NO ?

Ah, yes there was a dev post in one of those threads responding to complaints about slaves working on supers, and listing the proposed solutions players had posted in the thread. To have put shield slaves on such a list and say they are looking into it is far from a CCP promise to introduce shield salves.

A much better solution is to just make the crystal and slave sets inoperable on capital sized ships. Then as far as subcaps go it is easy to see how shield slaves would be incredibly stupid, because drakes need no buff.

Actually capital shield ships don't need passive buffer implants, they need better capacitors, cap recharge rates because lol Minmatar and Calamari because of this only. The ships are the problem, not the lack of implants.
