Mines Veldspar in Amarr (1.0 sec, high population) in a dreadnought?

Is Amarr a rookie system?

Close but not quite…

Mines in a large number of systems (none of them rookie systems) because that provides reliable access to ore rather than the limited and unreliable amounts you'd get from a a single 1.0 system, not to mention having immediate access to a high-volume trade hub.

Anyway, the point is: if a couple of Australians manage to work at minimum EVE-wage for an hour a day under ever so slightly more secure circumstances, then that's a price worth paying for having better newbie protection. If it turns out to be a problem (and it has never been so far), it's an easy one to solve as previously described.

Who said it is?

Was just trying to figure out what Drop meant by saying "Chribba is different than others".

What in God's name are you blathering about?

You said Veldspar wasn't that desirable. You are now persona non grata as far as Chribba is concerned.

Mr. Epeen did by implying that his business all over New Eden was comparable to staying in a single system and relying on the limited resources available there.

As you know full well, I'm talking about how the minimal amount of Veldspar you'd be able to squeeze out of a newbie system isn't worth enough to only let you mine it one hour a day because on the scale of thing, Veldspar isn't an intensely desired material, so you can stop playing stupid too. There's a reason why Chribba doesn't just operate in Amarr and does other thing than mine Veldspar, you know…

Yeah, moving to other rookie system isn't allowed because...?

Because they are too afraid to move to next system? lol

I agree with the drive to punish those who systematically target rookies, and I see nothing wrong with doing so. I still believe however that we need more clear-cut rules to make sure that such incidents are and remain rare.

Of course it's allowed. For the scenario you're envisioning, it's also meaningless.

I mean that moving to a different newbie system means you are leaving the security you so desire, so that would defeat the purpose of being there to begin with. I also mean that moving to a different newbie system because the first one has run dry immediately after DT is meaningless because guess what will have happened in that other system while you were busy in the first one…?

Since you claim that you have read the thread, you know this already, so stop playing stupid or stop lying. Your choice.

I don't know full well anything but what you said in the post I quoted. But I do know full well that if you insult Veldspar, you insult Chribba.

I implied nothing. I boldly stated that you are going to be in Chribba's bad books if you belittle the importance of Veldspar.

Flying in a ship with 600k-700k EHP in hisec is clearly unsecure.

If you say so.

The simple fact remains: veldspar isn't desired enough to make it worth-while to try to camp newbie-system belts right after DT.

If you're flying such a ship you're clearly not a rookie entitled protection. Stop being obtuse.

My point exactly.

Drop wants all rookie systems to be off-limits for pvp and he thinks that system can't be exploited by anyone.

I'm not against off-limits part but I'm just questioning "can't be exploited" part.

…and you haven't been able to demonstrate how it would be. Brick Proteuses and Damnations certainly don't exploit the security and, if anything, only show how small an increase it would be.

I'm not the one that said Veldspar wasn't desirable.

'nuff said.
