Hello!!

I will be moving up to soloing c3 wormholes shortly and have a few questions. I have solo'd in c1 and c2s with little difficulty. I understand that there is a fair amount of neuting that goes on in them. That being said, I planned on modifying my Tengu to compensate for this. Here are my questions:

How far away do the sleepers spawn from you?
Once, they spawn, do they burn towards you or maintain their distance (more or less)?
Do I need an afterburner fit?
What range do I need to be able to shoot out to (HAMs versus HMs)?

Thanks!

Run a few with friends, get a feel, then modify fit and have backup ready

Yes there can be some neuting in C3's. No I have not found it to be any big deal.

The frigs tend to neut around 10km. They are anemic at best.

Cruisers tend to neut from about 40km or so. Many of them can put a strain, but they die fast so no big deal.

BS Nuet from about 70km. They also hit hard. But they are slow.

Typically (running 2 tengu's not one, but one will work as well) I pretty much warp in, pick a safe that is the most directly away and align out, turning on the AB. When I get to the right spot (takes a few tries to get a feel for it) where the new spawns will be about 95km away I will either drop a can and orbit it, or bounce back and forth between safes to maintain that distance. (depends on how secure your system is at the time).

Frigs will get a neut on me most of the time, but you barely notice. Cruisers usually do as they die. The BS pretty much die before they get in neut range.

There is one site that will give you a serious run for your money solo.

Yes, the last wave hits very hard. Generally I align out right before the last wave. Immediately drop the scram frigs. Usually by that time the Tengu that has been primaried (I never get lucky with split damage it seems) is getting armor alarms, so I warp him off. Basically then I just alternate warping one Tengu off until I get one BS down and then the damage is maneagable again.

I have almost lost a tengu twice on that site. Once I had a bad timing internet issue. Not a disconnect, but it paused and almost DC'd. Came back with the Tengu hitting hull. Warped off.

Second time as I was going to warp off, I accidentally hit approach on a wreck and lost my align. By the time it was re-aligned i was in half armor.

Other than that, the rest of the sites are cake. One of my corp mates can run most of them solo in his legion.

When you are first trying the C3s solo, avoid the Solar Cells. They are the only anom in a C3 that scrams.

No trolling please

Is just one frig and between the two waves it wouldn´t be difficult to tank the aggro before you can scatter their numbers

Bob Artis, you will be missed.

always the same thing: tank, then gank. Don't start with the radars and mags. Don't.

Don't forget to raise all your resistances, without neglecting the EM one. Drop a launcher for an extra med slot if necessary. Scramblers in anomalies are not a big threat. They're just frigates, so don't worry about that. Worry about the d-scan instead.

eve-survival gives the sources of incoming dps for each wave. Play with EFT to reach the given value.
For counteracting the neuts, you can fit your cap regen subsystem.
With a capacitor at 2500GJ and a regen time at 110 seconds, you can hold 4 or 5 neutr from sleepers cruisers at a time without any problem, same for 2 bs.
