To CSM7,

I've already posted this on general diss. But posting here on the 2% chance you may actully read this, look forward to any opinions you may have.

To the powers that be,

This so called third party site is a detriment to emergent gameplay and soley prevents essential communication between corp and alliance mates. Understandably there will always "spai's" that conduct their normal infilration activites through various corps and alliances but this site creates the ability to be the perfect afk spai, you don't have to ninja your way in a corp or do any footwork to achieve your mission. All I'm asking is CCP seriously review this issue and possibly look onto removing the corp and alliance mail function out of the api code, because I feel with me using out of game communication tools I am not getting much out of my $70+ in subscriptions I pay a month with the hassle of using alternate means of communication.

Constructive criticism welcomed, would also like to hear any opinions from the CSM

Kind regards, o7

Corps worried about skunk should instruct their members to all create new api keys.

secure your chat. My alliance's mails aren't on there. In fact, I only saw maybe 3 dozen alliances on there of the thousands of thousands of alliances in eve.

Random goon thug, don't you have a recruitmment scam to run. Somewhere, btw my defintion of a spai is "stealing assets" offling POS's" liting a cyno that bridge's in a fleet on top of your own" taking isk from an alliance wallet and winning eve! Just to name few, veiwing an external website and being a pervert is not spying. CCP has taken information out of the api code in the past, this instance makes no difference.

Then your definition is wrong, since what you just described isn't a spy, but a saboteur or thief.

Spies spy on people and pass the information they acquire to others. That's the point.

So, you're suggesting that CCP remove the ability to read your own mails in third party programs in response to spys handing out the mails to everyone because you can't recruit properly? lol

Don't take it as a personal attack but why the hell you think amount of money you pay for subscriptions is relevant in any way? I find it very amusing every time I see statements like that.

You confuse spying/espionage with sabotage - they are related but different. Sabotage is with the damaging/stealing. Spying is "looking" gathering information/intel.

As for spies in general - alts from hell makes it very common and also very easy to pull off in EVE. Only morons are generally caught at it before performing whatever function they intended.

As such, I do stick with an old paraphrased quote from a scammer in EVE - "there is no shortage of stupid people in EVE" - but that is more towards the number of idiots that *ARE* caught spying vs those who get spied upon. It's so easy to be successful at yet idiots are busted trying it all the time.

As I said in the GD thread, and as has already been said here: You've got a spy and you're asking CCP to do something about it.

Do you see the problem?
