ask for the petition to be escalated (in a regular petition response) and a senior GM will have a second look at it.

after the petition is closed CCP also asks you how happy you were with the way it was handled

Just wondering if the OP has had his petition looked at yet? I'm getting the sneaking feeling that it's maybe only been a day or two since it was filed.

Non-critical issues (opposed to petition filed under 'stuck') might take 4-5 days until looked onto. (vacation...backlog....bla bla)
