Take this with a cube of salt, since I have never encountered a Cyno (probably just lucky), but this does not seem to be too bad of an idea. Hinders cyno, but also hinders the ship that activates the module.

As a change in fleet tactics I kind of like the idea. It would make things more interesting when it comes to large fleet combat.

The only downside I can see is that now it becomes primary jam ship, redeploy cyno.

It doesn't really change much as that ship then just goes down and things return to normal. What?Ugh

True, but will you be able to apply remote reps to this ship? What kind of tank will it have, and what kind of cycle time will this module have? Could it is similar to HICs, drop bubble broadcast for reps? I mean it has to be a balanced ship.

Maybe you should just give the module to HICs and call it a day..?

It would be nice if you could find a way to make such a module/ship useful in high sec, but I am unsure how.

thats better than the way it is now

Drop un-counterable cyno in a ship too small to be targeted fast enough
Bring a massive fleet in instantly before the cyno ship is destroyed
???
Profit.

The proposed change would not prevent that, as you would have only a couple of second to utilize the new ship/module before the fleet jumps in.

This is why people use cyno-jammers in null-sec; however, something similar for low-sec would be nice. *cough* pos revamp *cough*

well, if you could throw up a bubble and prevent the cyno from going up in the first place, you could fly around with the cyno inhibitor on.

personally i think a heavily tanked cyno inhibiting hic like ship would be a great idea. It would always be primary tho so it must have a great tank.

I'd say limit its field to 50km that way people could light a cyno on grid and warp down still, but it would allow small groups a modicum of safety when camping gates etc.

I may be a blobby pirate but even I know it aint fair on the small gangs of newbies that like to roam about. This change may well encourage people to yarr more in lowsec Pirate
