what are the benefits of ownign your own pos?
From what ive read, you have to be in a corp to own one. Have to have permission from said corp to run one/access fuel/stroteum bays and what not.

So best way is to create your own corp so you can access/use your own pos? Unless the Corp allows it.
seems odd requirement

Can you Fuel your own pos with 2 characters doing PI and Mining or does it require more if you want to do it yourself without purchasing.

Is it worth it profit wise?

Thanks!

Do you have a specific reason to run a POS? It kind of sounds like you don't, and therefore probably should not worry about it.

The corporate requirements are because POSes are owned by corporate entities, not individuals. They are meant to be a team effort type thing. For this reason a POS will stay with the corp if you were to leave the corp you used to set up the POS.

Also all items and ships left in a POSes hangers can be used by anyone else in the corp that has the roles to access them. Once you have stored something at a POS it becomes corp owned.

As someone mentioned earlier, while you can hang a POS without purpose, its a very expensive thing to "just have".

Now, if you already know you need a POS, and you have ensured that it will be profitable/beneficial, then you need to have your own corp, or a group of people you trust implicitly. The owner of the corp, and any subsequent "officers" will have more or less un-challenged access to it and all its facilities.

There are only a few reasons you would want a POS.

Protection for mining boosts
Research and Development Slots
Moon Mining
Saftey in hostile environments
Place to stash gear/ships in hostile environments.

Aside from these basic purposes (and maybe a few i forgot)..... POS's are nothing more than expensive "toys"... and they are VERY expensive to maintain.

As above answers.

(also more general in EVE)
If you dont have a clue if you need one. Then you just dont need one.

To give an idea. Large POS cost around 500mil to fuel each month if you buy the fuel blocks. And problem with a one man corp and a pos is that YOU always have to fuel it. And some people just like to wardec you to kill your pos, as youre a one man corp defending it could become hard.
