We rolled over at about Esesier give or take a system if I remember correctly. Tried to fight hard until then. A few guys suicided all the way to the end.

For once I can agree with X Gal here. You people have no clue on the level of dedication it took for Caldari to do what we did in the beginning and with old mechanics. How many tight fights, plexes saved on last second and times our morale was at rock bottom but we got together "for one more go to finish the job".

As epeen waving as it sounds like, you had to be there. Kruger81, Cosmic Raider, Logan Xerxes, Ladel Teravada, Toonu and many many others, even on the Gallente side like Hussain who never stopped fighting even when everyone else had thrown in the towel.

Do not diminish the legacy of these people because CCP suddenly made it so massive number of farming alts who never shot their guns in anger can do more than actual people flying pvp boats.

LMAO. This guy has to be the biggest loser in FW. Anyone who spends their days and nights sacrificing their real life for real estate pixels needs to have their head examined.

You are the biggest loser around here. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a girlfriend.

Now excuse me while I go back to writing more supposed death threats to you.

Perhaps affect highsec carebear space as we know it? such as the space you faught over now turns into highsec and a new portion of the opposing faction becomes lowsec and vulnerable. eventually turn jita into lowsec muhahahahahaha!

I find this terribly ironic coming from a person who spends his days and nights farming said real-estate pixels in Vli/Oicx area. And whose very own corporation includes person who spends more time plexing that some of the corporations in FW.

Also, you might want to start mocking Val Erian too. It's even documented he is the biggest plexer around and he flies with you.

I think CCP should sticky this thread. It kind of sums up the whole dialogue around Faction Warfare for me.

Proposal, a few rebuttals....then 369 pages of rather random abuse and mud slinging. I love it!

The reality of the situation is that a total warzone control result (ie all systems flipped) would actually be a very significant achievement (especially since it now takes 5x longer to capture systems than it used to take - and you can't dock in the systems you are contesting). Lets remember Caldari got their recognition when system ownership meant nothing and could be flipped in a fraction of the time.

I think Minmatar Militia *Should* get some recognition for the victory. .

Always suprised me why you're lack of knowledge on a subject never stops you from posting like you got a clue.

Oh and wait for the victory before thinking about medals, begging for them beforehand is unseemly and also makes them just trophy's.

The minmatar plexing farm is huge. After Amarr flipped some systems in metro the farmers came back to minmatar front. Their vp shot up (you don't get vp for plexing for your ally) and they contested all the systems in record time. Not only that but the brief respite there moving back to amarr gave caldari an opportunity to hit tier 5.

Good job Caldari. Its clear that on the plexing front you have a massive group of farmers you are up against in the form of the minmatar militia.

Make faction war occupancy pvp instead of pve https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=53815&#post53815

When I came back from an extended break, I re-joined FW and bought a lot of mods and ships to move them into Heyd. I think I bought 100 core probe launchers. Yeah. Dont need those anymore it seems. Finding plexes is a bit easier now.

Back to the issue at hand - think I think when Caldari took all of the systems (I was on a break at the time), there was a mechanic in place that favored the after downtime crew. Many Gallente complained about it, and though I dont think the mechanic was completely fair, Caldari still got a medal. But they should have. It required quite a bit of work.

The Minmatar should get a medal too - even though I think the current gunless alt plexing system is completely fracking lame. (I like the new spawn and capture mechanics though). Give it to them. It will go to highlight the complete meaninglessness of the accomplishment when 2/3rds of the medals disappear from the game when the 2 day old plexing alts are biomassed.

CCP could add medal to LP shop for 10m lp, then all who really involved plexing can afford it.

Anyway there is no need for medal reward, all plexers sure got their loyalty point rewards already.

IIRC, you never needed one (well - at least from EA release up until ~3 years back) they would always give a warpable result on Dscan.

Concerning medals, I'd say that what Caldari did back then was a rather idealistic effort without any big profits and thus, they deserved a fitting reward (a cookie).

I don't see how a crapton of filthy rich plexing alts need a medal on top of that, but then again, I don't mind everyone having a cookie.

So, at one time the Caldari got a medal for capturing every system in Gallente/Caldari FW space.

At the moment, the Minmatar are in a position where taking every system in Amarr/Minmatar FW space may be a possibility. I (and many of us) are wondering if we will be awarded a medal if we achieve this.

The assumption is that we will. If a medal will not be rewarded, a lot of unnecessary player rage can be avoided by telling us now that a medal is not in the cards. If players expect something and then do not get it ... you know how it is ... you've all been doing EVE for a long time. But, if a medal is not going to happen, and we know now, then "Oh well, no big deal. C'est la vie."

Granted, we might not be successful, but knowing a medal is at the end of the goal, might spur increased effort.

Thanks, in advance, to whichever CCP dude responds.

Try keeping the systems for 7 months and then talk to CCP about getting your pat on back.....

It's like they usually say about fantasy MMO's and men playing female characters: "If I'm going to spend alot of time watching this character, it might as well have a good looking ass".

They were always cosmic anomalies, and they always showed up at 100% with just the onboard scanner, but the onboard scanner used to have a range of 4.5AU or so. So you'd have to warp to each planet and scan to find the sites, or else drop a probe and scan 32AU areas at a time. And the onboard scanner used to take 30sec to scan. Now that the onboard scanner can find anomalies within 64AU in 10sec, probes are a lot less useful.

Medal should read: Turnur - Kamela - Lamaa. With a picture of Hek in the middle.
