While casually wandering the high sec universe, upon leaving a station, I noticed a fleet of Retriever mining ships with one pilot name, followed by a number. I think the numbers went from 01 to 10.

What?

I believe each one represents a sub, so... yes?

And each one of those subs is most likely botting so… no, no it isn't.

You want a story reason: Clones
You want a game reason: Multiboxing
You want to get a laugh, prove they are botting and they will go on vacation for two weeks.

Is it what CCP intended? Well, they do have ten paid accounts, sure they might be via PLEX, but they are still paid accounts (just paid by someone else).

Please report his name at my office and I'll see what I can do to prevent him from undocking!

Possible? Yes.

Most likely? Hardly. You have no proof, only conjecture.

The same as the morons who will say I support botting because I'm defending someone being accused of it.

Not a uncommon sight. I've seen them in drakes or Ravens. As long as the owner is behind his keyboard using manual input it's ok.

You mean a fair freedom in choosing your characters names? Yes, it's intended.

Give me a break. Botting hasn't even begun to be dealt with by CCP the way people are wanting it to be. The forums have been on fire with complaints over the last year.

Yeah, as of now. He's most likely botting. If not then it can be proven and 'nuff said. Until then… HE IS MOST LIKELY BOTTING!

Or Tengus... *shudder* I just don't see how that can be fun. Seems like a lot of work just to avoid talking to, and playing with others.

Btw - That guy in your link is out of control Shocked

Epeen:  Behavior quite commonly found on online discussion boards or similar, where some loser tries to establish his superiority - and thus the merit of his or her opinion - by stating how skilled and awesome he or she is, rather than forming a sound argument. Generally also used to condescendingly refer to someones ego.

I'm sure the guy gets checked regularly by CCP because ignorant people such as yourself report him as a bot on a weekly basis and then can't figure out why he is still there 6 months later.

CCP bans bots all the time. Thousands of bots have been banned in the past year. They've even developed a system where they can identify potential bots automatically simply based on the actions and patterns of said bots.

If you have some new and improved idea for how CCP can identify and target even more bots for termination, I'm sure they'll gladly listen to you, but you're not doing that. You're simply using assumptions and conjecture rather than facts and evidence to assign guilt to "people" who could just as easily be multi-boxing.

It depends on what type of bot the person is using. Next time you see them, screen shot it and petition it.

CCP investigates people like this to see what type of bot they are using.

If you can set it an walk away, it breaks the EULA. However, there are programs out there that will make all the alt clients duplicate the commands given to the main client. As long as someone is at the keyboard pushing buttons in order for the bot to work, then its legal and CCP will not do anything.

FC, what do?
