Hmm to name something in Eve after Neil Armstrong, thats interesting but why not take it further have one neutral system with all planets and stations named after all the pioneers of the space race. first man and woman in space, first space walk, first man on the moon etc.

In fact why not the pioneers of powered flight too and Von Braun for his rockets.

You only realise you life has been a waste of time, when you wake up dead.

Acctually he did help build the ship and helped plan the landing and he flew it to the surface with a broken computer, avoiding a boulder field and landed it with only seconds of fuel to spare.

A planet called Apollo with 12 moons and 12 asteroid belts. One for each man to walk on the moon and one belt for everyone who didn't land.

This. Neil certainly was a hero, and he did have a lot of influence on the design of the lander, but the real heroes in space exploration are the engineers behind it, actually designing the spacecraft and researching the technology making it possible to get to space.

How badass was Neil Armstrong, engineer, test-pilot, and astronaut?

no it belongs here , without the heroes like neil armstrong and the other pioneers both american and russian and the people behind the early space programs we wouldn't be playing SCI FI or other spacegames:
and yes maybe CCP could do something to memoriate those early space heroes , they did it with stanley kubrick and those black monoliths

I read someone stated..."if there was anyone that had the right to be a bitter vet....it would be Neil"....

We are all astronauts, explorers, if we choose to be.
Lets just work on letting astronauts, explorers and so on, not die a bitter vet anymore......
For example this soon to become bitter vet.........or.......will he die a astronaut?

I do know it will strengthen Neil Armstrong's wings if we where to become astronauts again.....
....and those wings actually need durability since eternity is their destiny and infinity their journey...
