To be honest you lose an eyebrow and it just kills the look, you go from sexy to ugly billionaire with playboy bunnies.

Who's the more foolish the fool or the fool who replies to him?

No it just means that having purchased a monocle, you obvious don't have two brain cells to rub together. Therefore anything you say is of course immediately taken to be a steaming pile of crap.

Monocles are good if you wish to come across as the same type of people as the genetically flawed European monarchy of the 18th, 19th and twentieth centuries. Eg. The ability to talk and drool is the high point of your day.

Lol

Perfect example of monocle working as intended.

Now why doesn't James 315 wear one? Imagine the extra amount of mad he could harvest.

This & you can be smug about everything in a stylish way.

Oh yes indeed. To be honest, I do wish they would release a more exclusive monocle, perhaps costing a low six-figure sum of Aurum. The current one has lost much of it's... pizzazz.

Yes and they should make it invisible for the real connoisseur.

How much cap does a cloaked monocle use?
Can I AFK cloak a monocle on someone else's face...

I see they have improved the graphics on the forum thumbnails so monocles no longer look like a puckering sphincter. Cry

No cap at all but unfortunately you can only use them on your own face, allowing you to to be smug and self centered at your leisure.

You assume I paid money for it.

1) There was a period of a couple of weeks where you could petition CCP to get an amount of your free aurum turned into aurum tokens. If you had enough alts, that was enough for a monocle.

2) If you paid for it with isk, you can always sell it if times get tough enough. In that case, it isn't thrown away money, it's just locked up money. Think of it as a small pile of cash under your mattress.

3) Most of my favourite monocle-wearers scammed theirs out of dumb pubbies.

4) See? I didn't even do anything and you're pouring furious anger out on your keyboard at me. It's like having a tech moon, but for tears.

Hardly anger, maybe scorn, possibly ridicule, very definitely pointing and laughing.

CCP designed a device for trolling.

Trolling with a monocle is still happening.

Working as intended.

I am pondering the purchase of a monocle and wanted to know from the... higher class of Eve, just what is the benefit of owning a monocle? Do you notice other eve players groveling a bit more and worshiping you? Have you noticed a faint cinnamon smell coming out of your toilet after you use it lately?

This is a fairly difficult decision, I need help to decide whether or not I'm going to join the ranks of the elite monocled.

Can he be jealous while he himself wears one? Shocked

I mean yeah, there's no way he look as good as I do but I was under the impression that everyone has made peace with that fact

Does which eye you wear it in indicate some kind of preference/persuasion/orientation? You know, like the way wearing yourearring in your right ear or left ear means something.

I wear mine because it apparently makes people angry.

It's also a lovely accessory for my very fine coat.
